We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite with another couple for a weekend in early July. The suite itself was a little worn but it was very clean and it was huge. The living room was especially roomy and featured a couch and two leather reclining chairs, which were a great treat after wandering the city all day. Our only disappointment is that the kitchenette could have been better stocked with coffee, tea, and whitener. There was only two packets of coffee and since the room is not cleaned daily it would make better sense to stock up the rooms with such non-perishables. When we asked for more coffee the second morning the person at the front desk literally threw the packet at one of us.
Note the they no longer have valet parking but a do-it-yourself parking under the hotel (off rue Hotel de Ville) for $18 per day. Oddly, there is also no ice machine in the building. You have to go next door to the Holiday Inn if you want ice. Again, considering this is a suites hotel this is a silly oversight.
In terms of location you are ideally situated between Old Montreal (couple block south) and St Catherine Street (couple blocks north) as well as St-Laurent (couple blocks west), which takes you up to the Plateau neighbourhood. There is a Metro (subway) station within a 5 minute walk south.More
