“Great hotel, will go back again.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 15, 2013

Stayed in this hotel for 3 days with family 2 Adult and 2 childrens, asked for two queens size beds, Nice, clean and quite hotel. Easy to find, its on Hwy 40. check in was fast and easy. Beds were comfertable and room was clean, washroom was clean and had modren look. Loved the breakfast in the morning, it was free for us, ( Tim Horton is 5 min away on car), The pool was great and loved the hot tub. Free parking, free wifi, two computers to used customer in the lobby with printer and xbox for the kids to play. Nice resturants were on 5 minutes drive on blvd de source north. Looks like this hotel can also accomodates the weddings, there was one on our stay, 5 minute walk to bus station to get to metro station to get to downtown. took us 1 hour to get to downtown, you have to time everything right. to get their in 1 hour. Its better to drive to the metro and park your car in the parking and use metro (save 30 min). Loved the stay and will go back again.

This is a very nice hotel but truly in the middle of nowhere! $50 cab ride to get downtown if you don't have a car. Service if EXCELLENT and very helpful. Pool is small and indoors. It is an Eco friendly hotel and is so quiet. There was a wedding and family reunion going on and upstairs we didn't hear a thing.

Room Tip: upper floor is quiet.

I choose this hotel based on the three things that they offer for free:

1) Free parking - ample parking spaces surrounding the hotel
2) Free airport shuttle - you need to contact the front desk when you need to use the shuttle, it's pretty fast. The location of the hotel is not very, very close to the airport, but it takes 12 mins to get there. You will appreciate that there is a shuttle, as driving to the Montreal Trudeau airport is a nightmare right now with the road construction.
3) Free Wi-Fi- didn't have any problems or experiences with slowness

The hotel room itself is very clean and spacious. In keeping with the Novotel design, the room was styled very simplistically.

The location of the hotel is in the Technopark area, which is full of corporate buildings. There isn't anything much around the area. It's a quiet area, but it's ok if you want to just stay for a good nights sleep.

For the past four summers my family has visited Montreal for a week and stayed at the Novotel Montreal Aeroport. It's still a great place to stay, but not quite like it used to be.

The property has a feeling of contemporary sophistication that is clearly a cut above other hotels in it's class. The rooms and common areas are clean and in very good condition...but showing signs of wear. You see it in the broken arborite on the furniture and the cracked vinyl on the dining room chairs. The arm chair in our room was faded from the sunlight and looked ugly. The swimming pool and hot tub are terrific and in great condition...but the tiles could use a good scrubbing. The linens are of good quality...but we found ugly stains on some of our towels and one duvet cover had a large blood stain.

Breakfast is delicious and plentiful, whether from the buffet or a la carte, and the ladies who serve you are some of the nicest people you'll meet. They will be a highlight of your stay. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of the front desk staff. Beyond the scripted lines they are trained to say ("it's so nice to see you" etc.) they are quite unhelpful. When asked about the problems with the internet service (see below) they simply shrugged and said "yes, we know about it." When told that there were no towels at the pool, the same shrug and "nothing we can do about it." When leaving one morning we asked for additional towels for our room and they were delivered...at 11:27 PM, waking us. Also: A tray with an empty wine bottle and glasses stood outside a room near ours for two days before someone finally took them away. Nothing like this happened during our earlier stays.

The wireless internet signal frequently dropped, giving 502 errors ("Bad Gateway"). This was very frustrating, because we rely on the internet while on vacation. In addition, the ethernet connector in our room was completely dead. If I was travelling on business I would not stay here.

If you're travelling with your family you should know two things: 1- The rooms have limited storage space: just three deep drawers and a closet; and 2- The bathroom doors don't close in the usual way...they're more like room dividers.

Even with the above, the Novotel Montreal Aeroport is still a great place to stay. We'll probably go back next year, and we hope the hotel returns to the higher standards we experienced in earlier visits.

Room Tip: The rooms are very well sound-proofed, so it doesn't matter whether you face the parking lot in...

Stayed at this hotel for one night in June over the holiday long weekend. As such, prices were fairly high per night. Having stayed here before within the previous two years, nothing had changed which can be both good and bad. The good: the decor, friendly, courteous staff, free parking, WiFi, comfy bed and in room amenities. The bad: restaurant and snack shop prices were too expensive (breakfast buffet is $15 , a pop ($2.75) and a Halloween sized bag of chips came up to $1.75! There is nothing within walking distance so unless you grab food somewhere else befofe hand or order delivery from a local restaurant, you really are at the mercy of the hotel), location - nothing substantial in walking distance, the front garbage was full at our 2:30pm arrival and hadn't been changed when we returned at 10:30pm so garbage was overflowing - not a good sight to see. Also on the bad side, but also understandable, we had to wait until exactly 3pm to check in as rooms were not ready. Most hotels I've been to usually don't have any problems with guests checking in prior to the check in time. So overall, a decent stay for a night but improvements could be made.

I spent one night at the Novotel Montreal and was surpirsed by the size of the room and the convenience of being close to the airport. I had business in the area so it was the perfect location for me. I had an executive room which was huge and gave me plenty of space to work plus this level included complimentary soda from the mini bar plus a voucher for breakfast in the hotel restaurant. The breakfast was a substantial buffet and quite good. My only complaint which I think was just an over sight and not the norm was it looked as if housekeeping forgot to clean the bathroom. There were remnants of the previous guest in the sink and tub plus the commode didn't look like it had been cleaned. I immediately called for housekeeping but at that time of night as it was late when I arrived were not working so they immediately gave me another room. The staff themselves were embarrassed by this oversight and kept apologizing. I do think it was just an oversight and would have no problem staying here again.

Room Tip: If you need to work while you are here go for the Executive level room as it is much bigger and has...
