“So many dining options”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 16, 2013 via mobile

These days tourists do tons of research before they go to a restaurant. But every once in a while we want to do it the old fashioned way. Just walk up to a restaurant, look at the menu and ambiance, and make a decision. Crescent street is the perfect place to do that. We had our first meal in Montreal on Crescent street after checking into the nearby Ritz Carlton. I don't remember the restaurant's name. All I remembered was good, comforting seafood risotto and pasta dishes, fresh evening breeze, and the conversations and laughs. What a great way to start a trip!

“Party Central!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 14, 2013

A great place to have fun! The street is LOADED with bar after bar - a constant party. There are a few dive bars but for the most part it is just a super good time.

“NOT, Times Square”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 1, 2013

I read a review that called Crescent St the Times Square of Montreal. It is not even close! Nice restaurants and bars, but no where close to Times Square! It is a great place to watch sports events as most of the bars have plenty of T.Vs. in the future I'd rather spend my time on Catherine st.

“What a party”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2013

We were there on F1 weekend. The whole street was one giant outdoor party. They had all sorts of booth and entertainment set up. In from of Sir Winston Churchill Pub, there was a giant outdoor stage, where there was live music.

Behind all the fanfare, there were some very pretty older buildings. Even without a street festival, this would be a nice place to spend a few hours.
