Boccondivino is a hidden gem in the heart of Old Montreal soon to be discovered by foodies and wine lovers from far and wide. We simply cannot say enough good things about the personalized service we received on top of a spectacularly inventive menu in a small plate format. From the venison ravioli, to the pizettes with perfectly crisp crusts and sauce Béchamel, to the bison tartare, you will be mesmerized by the array of perfectly prepared and seasoned Italian delicacies. The wine list is hand picked by the owner, Freddie, who will open your eyes to incredible Italian blends and varietals. The vibe is swank yet relaxed and laid back. This place doesn't miss a beat. We dined here twice during a 6 day stay in Montreal and will return many times in the future.

I came across this restaurant with three friends whilst at a conference in Montreal We had walked past many tourist eateries in Vieux Montreal and literally stumbled upon Boccondivino. It wasn't crowded so we had the undivided attention of the owner who directed us to several interesting Italian 'tapas'. We shared six dishes between four of us and were more than replete at the end. The charcuterie platter was full of superb salami, prosciutto & local cheeses. The seafood risotto and the pulled lamb were also excellent. There is also a good selection of wine and beer to go along with the delicious food. It's close to the musée d'Archéologie.

After walking past a lot of restaurants in old Montreal, we chose to try Boccondivino for lunch We were not disappointed. We chose three tapas between the two of us, gazpacho, gnocchi and lamb sliders. All of the choices we great, but the gnocchi was the best. Wonderful fresh flavours and plenty to eat. The staff was attentive and the service was great. Highly recommend.

A slick, contemporary spin on classic Italian gastronomy while respecting what makes Italian food great; fresh, simple and savoury ingredients cooked to perfection. Coupled with a superb location, wonderful ambiance and thoughtful service makes for a winning combination. Looking forward to returning in the summer to enjoy the old port from their terrasse.

This was my first experience of tapas Italian-style. What a great idea to be able to share dishes like goat-cheese and spinach lasagna. risotto and gnocchi! Portions are the perfect size for enjoying without getting overly stuffed. Recipes are creative and presentation of the dishes is beautiful. The service is excellent and the space/ambiance is perfect for a nice evening with friends. Located on the waterfront of the Old Port, it will surely be THE place to be this coming summer.
