“a welcome surprise”
Reviewed May 24, 2013

I thought this place charming, the staff very pleasant and the food was pretty good- nothing spectacular but it doesn't claim to be.

“good fish & chips and good portions”
Reviewed May 6, 2013

We made a quick stop at this restaurant.
The atmosphere is good, you are served at a counter which is along a brick wall and the service is fast.
We ordered fish & chips: small portions = 2 pieces of fish, large portion: 3 pieces of fish. They come with fries and whatever sauce you choose. We also got the chance to taste the cury sauce: it is creamy, mustardy and sweet. If you like cury, you'll love it. It was offered to us for free.
Their fries are good: they keep the peel on and fry them like that.
The portions are plentiful and you won't be hungry after you eat.
For the menu & prices, check my pics.
ENJOY!

Here, a newcomer in the village. the comptoir 21, new fish and chips restaurant offers an affordable menu in a pub style atmosphere. you dont like fish? no problem, you also have the choice with a tasty hamburger with a choice of side dish of fries, salad or poutine. You can eat in or take out or on delivery.

“New Fish & Chips Restaurant - Very Good”
Reviewed February 20, 2013

I visited this restaurant yesterday, the second day of their business. Restaurant has a lot of potential and hope they do well.

The restaurant has an interesting concept whereby all seats are "at a counter". There are no tables. Food was very good and reasonably priced with very good service. Fish & chips are served with traditional vinegar, yes Malt vinegar available! Other tasty sauces are also available.

Restaurant is licensed to enjoy a beer with your meal.

Great to see a fish & chip restaurant open open in the city.

I would recommend for sure I and will certainly return.
