The new management does not live up to the standards of the previous one. The food was not fresh. Their signature Tahchin was just too dry and tasteless. I insisted on going there after the new management just to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it was only that one time. The atmosphere is cold too.

this restaurant was sold to new Management on Mar 1, 2013. the name is also changed, but the address remains the same. we did not know when we ordered a takeout yesterday, just like we always do on saturdays, without hesitation, always getting great food. we were greatly disappointed!! we ordered a chicked sandwich (Joojeh Kabab), 1 Kashk-e-Badenjoon and 3 Sholeh Zard (the yellow safron rice desert). the sandwich was horrible: streaks of dried and charred chicken in a slim fit. before, you needed three hands to contain the massive contents of Amoo Jamal's sandwiches, especially the big pieces of tender juicy chicken. not the case. having eaten the sandwich, I did not touch the Kashk-e-Badenjoon, but two people who did said it was OK. however, the Sholeh Zard was the worst. we could barely eat two spoonfuls. it was dry, old leftover with a wrinkled crust on top, absolutely disgusting. we threw the whole thing away. a 28 $ meal not worth 5 bucks. it may continue to cater to those who do not know good iranian food or who have only mediocre taste; however we will not go back, and that is unfortunate for us. we have lost one of our most favourite venues. the new owners have a big job filling the shoes of Amoo Jamal.

The food is awesome
The service is very good
The decor is very basic; it is more a cafeteria than a restaurant
They serve Iranian specialities, all of their dishes are delicious, if you go there don’t forget to try their Tahchin.
You can have a plate for about 8 $ or less
