Great food, amazing atmosphere and very affordable. Would recommend it to anyone!

The wait staff are really great, especially Marc who made sure we were well taken care of the whole evening. Keep up the good work guys!

Our first experience was great! Would definitely go back! Both our pasta dishes were phenomenal! Ordered a fantastic homemade tagliatelle & two colored cavatelli seafood dish! The pasta is fresh and light and the sauce was great! Take it from the daughter of a chef...it's worth going to check out!! Also try the granita!...It's made in house! Fantastically refreshing! The service was excellent and staff was very welcoming!

I had such a bad experience that i had to write about this at 1AM after getting back from the restaurant because i cannot keep it in any longer. First off, the female clown that greeted my daughter was rude, would not let her check and see if our party has arrived when she could not confirm which name the reservation was made under. Then we arrived and same problem with a male clown this time. Not a very good first impression but we were hungry and hoped for a good meal in good company... Well, we were in for a BIG disappointment. It took them an hour to bring us our antipasti and primi at the same time... The excuse was: " it's Grand Prix and we're very busy". Hello, then don't book your restaurant to capacity if you're not able to accomodate.

When the food arrived finally, here i'll spare you the details, it was ok but portions were so small and the price so steep, we just all looked at each other in complete disbelief. 5 of us went out to eat at another restaurant because we were still hungry. Do i need to say more? All of us said NEVER AGAIN. And if this place wants to stay in business, get rid of those two clowns that call themselves maitre d's or send them to etiquette school!

Brama being an old Latin word for desire is the perfect name to describe the feeling for their food and ambiance.
Once you experience a night at Brama you will "desire" another.
The food was amazing! The staff was very warm and insightful. They even recommended a club to attend and went to the extent of getting us guestlist. The owners are very down to earth and can be approached very easily,as if you knew them for 20years. The vibe in this restaurant is incredible. Yes it is a loud crowd, only because everyone is enjoying their party. I also saw groups engaging in conversation with random groups. I did not expect any of this for a new kid on the block of Little Italy. More places need to be like Brama. Everyone is friends at Brama!

After reading the recent favourable review in The Gazette we made reservations during the week. The place was pretty full, with a very good all round vibe and very nice decor. There is a large dining room at the front with the bar at the back, and a smaller room off to the side to accommodate larger tables. Attentive, helpful and welcoming staff were all exceptional. The mixed salad was wonderful, full of exotic components and a delicious dressing. The Chef/owner came by to describe his creation, which was really a nice touch. The Polpette (meatball) appetizer was also excellent, 3 plump balls in a rich tomato sauce, but the grilled bread tasted too burnt. Of the entrees, the gnocchi was first rate and fresh, the chicken cacciatore sumptuous and the taggliatelle with sage and rapini very good, the pasta noodles being a bit too al dente and slab-like for my taste. This last dish may have been more appealing with a fusili instead but nonetheless the taste was first rate.

Prices are reasonable, appetizers at $10 and entrees $19-$30. Definitely worth a repeat visit, good for larger groups and special occasions in the side dining room, and one of the better new Italian restos in the city with an decidedly urban chic vibe. Hoping it continues to shine for years to come.
