We were in Montreal for a wedding, and decided to meet up with some friends who lived in Montreal. Le Lab was suggested, and we were glad we went, it was a great unique experience especially during Fridays happy hour. Cocktails can be prices depending on what you want, but I'll be honest they are worth the price. Unique hipster, 1920/30 drinks, it's like you stepped back to a day when people went out for drinks as a social call like it should be. This place is not a sleazy, neighbourhood hangout. It's a nice, well maintained example of what a cocktail bar should be.
Our first waitress was wonderful, helped explain the menu with all the drinks well, even though we didn't speak french. (The menu is in Englishman s well), she was kind and took great care of us. So great care that we had to have been there for almost 4 hours. Our second waitress was not as pleasant as our forest, and when it cam time to pay the bills he mixed up our credit cards, and our friends got billed for there bill and our. When we brought this to her attention, she told our friend to just deal with it between us, rather then fixing the transaction with our credit cards. It's not how I would have dealt with it, but thank god we have understanding friends.
Great place, if your in the neighbourhood, or traveling though you should make a point to go to it, we took the Metro to it, and it's not really that far from the station.
