We visited this place 4 times and all 4 times we came to Dinner all you can eat buffet . Place has nice decor. The service is slow. They have only 2 waitresses during busiest times. The first time we went, we almost left. By the time the waitress came to see us wasn't annoyed to the point that i was ready to leave. The second time i decided to order everything in once. It was a big time saver!!!! I received the food on time !!!
Food is tasty and fresh!!! You can bring your wine.

What a wasted Saturday night! We arrived promptly at 7:30 as per our reservation for 6 people (one of the ladies in our group is 6 months pregnant). After waiting for 50 minutes, we asked the hostess what was going on and were brushed off. After talking it over as a group we decided to leave. One couple in our party had some vouchers, so they asked the owner if he could extend the expiration date, since they were going to expire next week, they were told "tough luck, not my problem" by an extremely rude little man, who we later found out was the owner! We all stood there in awe for a moment, and noticed that a large table for 8 was about to open up. We immediately assumed that this was our table since we had been waiting the longest. Wrong! The owner was trying to seat a group of 12 people at a table for 8, and their reservation was for 8:00, a full half hour after ours. We ended up getting the table after the group of 12 regected it. We were finally seated by an equally rude waitress and preceded to order from the tasting menu. It was all downhill from there. It took forever to receive our soups as only those who ordered wonton were served, those who had hot and sour received theirs well into the meal. Many of the dishes ordered never made it to our table. Before the first of our dishes were cleared we were told that the kitchen was about to close and that if we wanted anything, we had to order it now. We placed another order and we're told that most of our selections were not longer available. We were all still starving at this point, so we took whatever they brought out to us. They seated us 1:10 minutes late, were extremely rude and now were rushing us to finish so they could close up! When the server brought us our bill, she mentioned twice that we should tip on the amount before the vouchers were deducted. That's a short summary of the service, now onto the food.
The only item on he menu that would rate above mediocre is the papaya salad, hat was excellent: tart, fresh and crunchy. Everything else tasted the same. A lot of thickly coated fried selections with (what I'm sure we're bottled) dipping sauces. Any veggie we had was mushy and over cooked. The curries were ho hum...you could make he same with President's Choice sauce from the jar. The $12 lunch I had last week at Thai Express was more authentic than what we had last night.
I would in no way ever recommend this place to anyone. Apparently it used to be pretty good. Maybe it's just another example of a place getting to big too fast.

Bistro Sawadika located in a mall at the corner of Marcel Laurin and Cote Vertu. The food is absolutely delicious and authentic. We tried the tasting menu which is "all you can eat", lots of dishes to choose from, good value and it is a Bring your Own Wine (BYOW) restaurant. Food is fresh and tasty. Free parking is easy to find.

This was the second time I have sampled the tasting menu. Excellent service. Excellent food. All 6 people at our booth loved the food Family dinner ranging in age form 20-83. It was quiet when we arrived at 6:30 on a Monday night. By the time we left the restaurant was half full. No delays. Attentive service with a change of cutlery and plates between courses. We had 1/2 price coupons from Living Social. There are 15% off coupons are available on the restaurants web site. Nice decor . Free ample parking. Bring your own wine. Walking distance from Cote Vertu Metro station.

Extremely good Thai restaurant which surprised me upon entering, was well appointed, clean and brightly lit. Found the tasting menu (all you can eat and order) a little expensive and my colleagues were put off with the idea, that if they did not enjoy the dish, they were expected to finish it, to be able to order more. I think the explanation was not clear.. Food was very fresh, aesthetically presented and the service was not rushed. We ordered several different appetizers, and among my favorites were the mango salad (fresh, small sliced onions & tomatoes, slightly spiced with great flavors, mixed in with slices of mango that were not overripe) the Calamari rings were deep fried, very lightly breaded and the sauce was good ( a little bland for me). All main dishes were well sized portions. The one that stood out for me was the Curry spiced duck with vegetables. Outstanding; exterior crispy, meat was tender, lightly spiced and the meat was not too fatty. A real delight.
Service was at times a little slow but not rushed ( one waiter on a Thursday night for 4 tables) and the waiter was very attentive and helpful. All in all a very nice evening and the pricing was affordable and we did not overeat (which would have been my case if i had ordered the tasting menu option.)
