The best fish place in montreal without a doubt but don't expect a fine dining place. Service is good, food is beyond great but stay away from lobsters and mussels, it's not their specialty. Other than that, grilled or fried fish, shrimps, calamari...awesome!

This restaurant provides an excellent array of seafood choices. You choose your fish, shrimps, muscles, squid, etc. and you choose the way everything is cooked then you get seated. I went their with the family and we were impressed with their cooking and the freshness of the fish. The service was also equally excellent. May be the only drawback is that the seating is packed and we went on a crowded day. The pricing was also reasonable relative to what we ate.

I would definetly go back to this place if I had an opportunity to and would recommend this place.
The way it works is you order your fish (including how its cooked) from what they have displayed. Then your are seated at a table and they bring your food. Went with a group of 6 people at 8:30pm on sat night and they place was super crowded. The music was mostly, if not entirely arabic music, which I liked. The tables were clean but your not going their for the luxury furniture or ambiance - your going their for the fantastic food. The place is noisy but I could talk to the other people at my table normally. A few other thoughts:
- good selection of fish (We had salmon, calamari, skate, tilapia, shrimp). There was also sardines, mackerel and a few other fish we didn't order. Nothing smelled 'fishy' so that was a good sign that the fish was relatively fresh.
- fish cooked wonderfully! tried a number of different cooking methods and enjoyed all of them.
- sides are delicious. we had potatoes & salad.
- no alcohol and not sure if we could have brought out own wine
- crowded but once ordered food, got a table pretty quickly and food came relatively soon after that. Not sure it makes a difference to call ahead and make a reservation.
- good place to hang out with friends or family. really good place to go with a large group of people that doesn't mind sharing. not exactly a romantic dinner place - a little noisy for that.
- price: reasonable. We paid ~22/person but we definetly ordered too much food. I still think its on the order of $15-20/person depending on what you order.
