“Sweet, succulent lobster!”
Reviewed August 7, 2013

Our guide from the Montreal Free Walking Tour recommended this little gem to us. We had the lobster rolls and they were delicious. The bread was fresh and soft and the lobster was fresh and in big, juicy chunks. I'm not a big eater and one roll wasn't enough for me. Make sure to order additional food if you're hungry.

“Good lobster rolls!”
Reviewed July 31, 2013

Located in Montreal's western part of the Old Port, this "fast food" restaurant (it's a transformed container) gives you the chance to order a good quality lobster roll made with lobster from "les îles de la madeleine" at a fair price. There are picnic tables around. Clam chowder is OK but not exceptional. Worth trying if you're in the area.

“Small spaces: huge flavors”
Reviewed July 30, 2013

Muvbox and Porchetta are located on the Lachine Canal and are adjacent to each other. While reading the outside menu I was beckoned over to Porchetta with the promise of the best pork sandwich of my life. It was terrific! My wife had the lobster roll and clam chowder from Muvbox, and it was outstanding also. Maybe the best deals in pricey Montreal.

“Great But Small Portions!”
Reviewed July 24, 2013

Great street food! Great location on the harbour front in Old Montreal. Muvbox is exactly how it sounds, a kitchen set up inside a container for the warm season (May to September) with a few tables and chairs outside. Had the lobster roll which was excellent but the portion was small and expensive for $12. Their sister restaurant (La Porchetta) is located just a few feet away and specializes in pork sandwiches which are equally as good and a little less expensive at around $8 but also a small portion. My wife and I bought both a pork sandwich and the lobster roll, which we split in half to share! Highly recommended for a quick bite and near all the major sites in Old Montreal.

“Very good”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

We heard about this place from our hop on hop off tour guide Norman. He said it was the best lobster roll we would ever have. The roll was very good, but a little on the small side. You get a chowder, chips and roll for the special price. I had the pizza and it was good. There is some seating available under the tarp but most of it is out in the open. The place is located almost at the end of the pier walkway, but well worth the experience.
