“Don't stall in your efforts to find this market . . . . . . . .”
Reviewed January 13, 2013

I make a habit of searching out markets to wander around . This one we found whilst on a day cycling along the nearby canal . What an excellent place - a great historic building packed with vibrant stalls piled high with wonderful local produce - fruit & veg , meats and Deli products . The market apron is jammed with a rainbow of food purveyors - we opted for an excellent Thai noodle joint = great quality and value .Make the effort to find this place and the rewards will be plentiful.

“This is what makes Montreal so great”
Reviewed January 11, 2013

Atwater Market has one of the best bakeries in the city Premier Moisson, and one of the best cheese shops Fromagerie Atwater. There are so many other excellent shops for everything from fresh fruits and vegetables presented as if you were in Paris, to duck confit and local hams. There are many places to have a light meal or a sandwich as well. Service is excellent as the market has become dependent on tourists as well as locals. Don't miss this.

“Baguettes, croissants, pate, cheese, jams, butchers, and produce!”
Reviewed January 4, 2013

What can we say, market was awesome, food was fresh, people were friendly. You can get all of your shopping done here, as well as have an amazing breakfast at Premiere Moisson. We left with veggies, cheese, pates, and a Cote de Boeuf that was the size of my head, and everything was delicious.

“Don't leave Montreal without a visit to Atwater Market”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

Fresh vegetables, flowers, Montreal specialties, breads, pastries, and so much more. We visited twice and loved the experience. This is also a great photo opportunity for local and tourist life.

“Best place for Craft Beer”
Reviewed December 3, 2012

At the far end under a cheese shop there is a store that has a spectacular array of Quebec craft beers. Next time I need a larger backpack.
