“Lots of water, great in summer”
Reviewed December 14, 2013

I went trough the Laurentians in the worst period of the year: November 2013 as leaves are gone from the trees and there was no snow yet, but... I find it really nice to visit. Especially in the region from Mont Tremblant towards the east trough the cross-country region. Being it only about 1 hour from Montreal I must say I "envy" the people living in Montreal having such a nice environment at their doorsteps...

The first mountains are at exit 60 on highway 10. Only 40 minutes north of Montreal. There are several places to ski starting at St. Sauveur all the way up to Mt.Tremblant. Night skiing is also available at some of the mountains.

“Fun for all seasons”
Reviewed November 23, 2013

The Laurentians are just an hour north of Montreal and provide many opportunites for hiking, cycling, and all of the winter sports. Hiking during the fall while the leaves are changing colors and skiing in winter are both worth experiencing.
