“The perfect place to stay in Old Montreal”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

Lhotel staff went above and beyond expectations to remedy a fairly minor problem. When we checked in we discovered that the shower head in our room was broken and we were unable to use it. I was simply expecting someone to come repair it or just get another room of similar value. The staff upgraded us to the best suite at the hotel (for our whole stay) . All the staff were extremely friendly, cheerful, helpful and accommodating. The location is perfect for exploring Old Montreal by foot and the art in the hotel is amazing. I would not hesitate to stay again!

We stayed at this hotel last week while visiting family in Montreal. We enjoyed being able to stay in Old Montreal. The art collection at this hotel is something special. Original art in abundance everywhere.

The rooms felt European. Comfortable beds, clean bathrooms. This may be the first room I've ever seen with a tub/shower and a shower stall in the same bathroom.

Traveling with a baby, I would have liked a small microwave in the room to heat up bottle and snacks. The breakfast buffet was continental, simple, and worked out well for us.

Good service at the front desk, bell desk, and restaurant.

Definitely recommend.

We were surprised and pleased at this hotel. The location is excellent. The room was large and comfortable. Valet parking was available at an extra charge. The staff was helpful and friendly. And art by recognized contemporary artists was everywhere--in the rooms, the halls, the lobby and in front of the hotel. This is now our favorite hotel in Montreal!

We loved this grand hotel in Montreal. The location was excellent, as it is very close the Notre Dame Cathedral and old town montreal. The modern art in the lobby and in the rooms was a unique touch to the opulent exterior and interior. Our room was clean and large and had large windows that made it feel grand. The breakfast was a bit overpriced for what it was (small, cold buffet) and the housekeeping was a little slow (our room wasn't cleaned until after 6 one day). Overall though, the hotel was a great choice for such a cool city! We loved it!

The location is great. The room was old deco and very nice and large. The staff was great, particularly the night stuff (when usually they don't know anything), they were super helpful. Would recommend and come back

Very unique hotel with great service! The front desk helped make us a great reservation at a near by Bistro which was a great choice. Thehotel is located in the perfect part of town, very close to attractions, the water, and some historic streets. Very cool art and rooms are interesting, something you wont see again! We had a fat man and a horse painting above our bed- hahah.
