“A real star”

We stayed here for the F1 weekend.

A great experience. The location in the old Town is perfect. Surprisingly large room and great art in public areas.

What really stood out however was the service. Truly exceptional. Warm and friendly at every stage. Little details like providing lunch packs free of charge to take to the circuit really made a difference.

We had a great time and will definitely return here.

We spent 3 nights at this hotel after finding online months ago. We arrived before noon on Friday June 7th...the staff went out of their way to secure the two rooms we had booked. We were in and unpacked within an hour.

Our weekend visit was dedicated to the F1 Grand Prix -- to our surprise the hotel provided a bagged lunch on Saturday and Sunday!!!! Totally unexpected and very appreciated--saved us big $$$ at the circuit.

The rooms were great, very clean and the hotel very quiet. We loved the original artwork placed throughout the hotel.

Overall.....5 stars for the location (very close to the Metro, restaurants); 5 stars for the staff and management,

Love, Love LOVE this hotel....

We stayed for 3 nights, a building next to our hotel room are having very noisy construction work starts at 8 everyday. We are not a early persons. Especially we are on our holiday. Staffs at the reception are not helpful and impatient. Won't come back to this hotel again!!

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at the LHotel. We arrived late (around midnight) after a very long drive in the rain and were greeted with a beautiful hotel, and an awesome front desk manager who was more than accommodating and welcoming. Our room was lovely and quite spacious, the 1 and ONLY draw back was that it was a bit echo-y and we could hear outside noise. I would absolutely recommend this Hotel to any one, especially for a romantic weekend. It was raining and freezing our entire vacation, so having a nice hotel was our saving grace. Great staff (especially night managers), cool decor and great location.

We stayed three nights in Lhotel and found our stay very good. At arrival we were granted an update to a larger room. Since we stayed three nights and had a lot of luggage with us, it was very nice to have the additional space. The interior of the hotel and the room is very quaint. A lot of art and stylish 'antique' furniture. Nice decor overall. I have no complaints about house keeping; everything was very clean, I think we even had clean sheets every day. Sheets and towels were of good quality as was the bed/matress. The location of the hotel was very good; I don't think you can get a better location for Old Montreal. Very close to Notre Dame Basilica. We once had breakfast buffet in the hotel; which was very good in taste and quality however with limited selections. Couple of cheeses and ham; no fried eggs/bacon etc. This could probably be ordered seperately, but wasn't offered. For breakfast I can recommend 'Olive and Gourmando'.

The price was right for this hotel, i think maybe $160 a night or so. I have definitely stayed at nicer hotels in Montreal but not for this price.I give this hotel a 4 out of 5 because it was very nice in many ways and missed the mark in others. The lobby is very cool and the art throughout was amazing, but no doormen readily available for your bags to schlep up the front stairs. The room was nice with a comfortable bed but the bathroom was just mediocre. The hairdryer actually caught on fire, i hope they fixed it for the next guest. You could also not set the air conditioner any lower than what the hotel has preset in the controls.
Make sure you do not use the parking lot on the corner of Rue St. Jean and Notre Dame Ouest. The attendant is a total rip off artist and tried to charge us almost triple the daily rate thinking we were stupid tourists. You can find parking in the underground garage almost right next to the hotel for way less

The staff, hotel and location were fantastic. We can't wait for our return trip in the fall. Our only complaint was the maid service. They did a very poor job cleaning the room and bathroom (we stayed 2 nights).

Let us apologize for the quality of the housekeeping service you experienced while you stayed with us. We unfortunately had some members of our staff falling ill and were unable to replace them at such a short notice.
Let us assure you that we have taken the necessary measures to overcome this type of problem and make sure that this will not happen when you return in the Fall.
