This portion of St-Denis street is always fun , the people enjoys every moments. Just having a beer or a glass of wine either inside or on a terrasse .. life seems so much better being out there

“Best time!”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

One of the best section of Montreal. Lots of nice restaurants and bars, close to downtown. Really nice place.

“People watching and listening”
Reviewed October 9, 2012

On a sunny day, especially on a weekend, this is a good place to watch people, and listen to them interacting (usually in French, as this is a francophone area, close to the University of Quebec in Montreal).

“Walk through but don't linger...”
Reviewed September 18, 2012

A bit over-hyped, the area is worth a quick wander but really has nothing special about it and quite down-at-heel really.

“Crowded, keep on moving”
Reviewed August 16, 2012

Definitely fun to walk through, if you want to just soak up the atmosphere, try to avoid busier times (morning and mid-afternoon would be good) otherwise, expect to sit in a crowded restaurant.
