We spent several hours just touring the greenhouses before heading over to the insectarium. The greenhouses alone are worth the price of admission. They are filled with fantastic plants and have lots of educational content. It's a perfect place to spend a cold day in Montreal.

This is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon. Every year there is a special attraction. You can buy a package that allows you to visit more than 1 spot. Don't forget to visit the butterful house.

Was there during lantern festival. The Chinese garden was impressive. Japanese garden was not that impressive during the night.
Opposite of Jardin Botanique is the stadium where you can take the funicular up to the top for view of the city.

We had a coupon for buy one, get one free admission. The line to get in was HUGE. They did have an option to purchase tickets ahead of time by credit card and then wait in a shorter line, but to pay with cash and/ or with coupon, we were stuck in the giant line.

The gardens were very pretty and enormous. We didn't see even half of the grounds before I was too tired to walk anymore, and quite honestly, getting a bit bored.

It was pricey to get in (about $30) so I am really glad we had the coupon.

I wouldn't say it's a must-see unless you are really into gardens.
