Not sure if it would be perfect in bad weather, but on a beautiful day the gardens were just glorious.

Highly entertaining Mosaïcultures huge topiary sculptures were fantastic! Never saw the Chinese lanterns because the crowds on Saturday night were impossible and lines long. But loved the garden.

The Mosaicultures International Exhibit takes your breath away. It is an amazing installation of scores of remarkable structures made of landscape plants. We wen to the gardens expecting to stay for a few hours, and spent nearly the whole day there. It has to be seen to be believed. Gigantic Structures, placed in the gardens with cranes and a volunteer crew, were submitted by various ountries on the theme of "Tree of Hope." It isn't there all the time, so if you are visiting in October, do put this place on the list of must-sees. It's $20 and worth every cent. We also had a very nice dinner there inexpensively. Just a block away from the metro. Google it for more detail.

I didn't want to go but my wife insisted. It was worth the trip. The topiary is unbelievable. Super large. Funny. Just plain amazing to see. We had lunch at the restaurant and the food selection was very good with a large covered outdoor seating area.

Combining the botanical garden and the Tower of Montreal makes for a full day of fun in Montreal. Oh...also go to the Insectorium. I know, I know, who the heck wants to see insects. This is really done well! Butterfly displays and beetles the size of your hand. A live display of leaf cutting ants doing their thing is fascinating. Very well done and only takes an hour.

Had a great walk through the botanical gardens in great weather. The sculptures were amazing. Walking around the entire area took about 2-3 hours. It is a beautiful place to visit even if you're not a fan of these things usually.
