Tried this place after another place nearby failed our expectations for good food. We were a party of three.

Our waiter took our drink order and left menus. When he came back we asked what he would recommend food, he said, "Do you trust me?". We took a chance on what he would order and we were glad we did!

We ended up having two rounds of plates, Sangria, Martinis, etc. and it was a great evening.

We went earlier in the evening so not sure what service would be like later as it starts to get busy into the night.

The DJ they had did a great job with a variety of music, not just one kind.

Overall, I would recommend trying this place.

Went to Santos for the first time to eat and have a drink but after my meal, I would only go back for the drinks, their quite delicious though a bit pricey. Keep in mind that the menu they have on their website is not the same menu they have at the restaurant, when we asked the waitress about it she said they change it with seasons, bummer...they don't update their website clearly.
The service was good and the actual place is hip, sophisticated, and cozy but I don't recommend this place to have dinner. To start with theres not much choice so if you're going to go with a group of friends, good luck trying to find something thats of everyones liking. Second of all, the portions are ridiculously small, and I'm not one in favour of the ginormous portions we're so used to in north America but this is just ridiculous, for that price anyway. I had a paella that costs $25 and I was expecting a filling meal but to my surprise, it was full of lemon wedges, (5 of them to be exact)...4 clams...2 small pieces of chicken and the 2 smallest pieces of chorizo i've seen on a plate, cheap, just cheap! The worse part of all is the layer of rice (which is the fundamental ingredient in a paella AND THE CHEAPEST TOO), it just covered the casserole in which was in, come on, i dipped into my plate and touched the casserole, seriously!
Taste wise it was good, but really i don't recommend it to eat. I had a great time and the place is lovely but they need to be less cheap with their portions and their ingredients for the prices their asking.

Just sayin....

We've been invited to to a birthday gathering over there with another 11 friends. We had a big table reservation with the Tapas table service.

I was excited at the beginning, the atmosphere looks really nice, the crowd looks cool, and the ambiance was just right.

We ordered couple of Vodka bottles, in spite of the over priced alcohol menu, the Alcohol menu is expensive compared to the 5 stars places in Montreal.
The food started to come over, the waiters are always in a hurry, can barely pose to take an order, had to order water 3 times for my wife before we finally got it, and the impression I got that he only brought water to get rid of me asking for it every time he shows at our table.

The food wasn't anything special, of medium quality and quantity, nothing impressive at all.

Once we paid and the table reservation finished and they started removing the tables, the treatment from waiters completely changed, as they didn't care now any more, they got their tip!!
The place became very crowded, over crowded, that you cant dance, we kept pumping in each other and we spend most of the time apologizing for people we pumped into, or receiving apologizes, not sure why they allow more people than the place could take.

Trying to go to the bar to order a drink for my self and water for my wife was an adventure, by the time I reached the bar, the bartender polity refused to do my cocktail saying they don't have time for cocktails, so I ended up ordering Vodka cranberry, and the bartender didn't shy to show his anger when I didn't tip!!
Shortly after that the place became over saturated with people that the only thing we could do is stand, forget about dancing, if you want to go to the bar, well good luck with that, so we all decided to leave.

They over saturating the place with people to make profit, was a killer for our night, the service is very poor, the food is average and expensive, the alcohol was expensive.

The place has potential if management concentrated more on quality than quantity, but regardless, I am not going back there, and for the amount of money we paid '' Close to 2K '' we could've spent much better time in another place.
