Reviewed September 4, 2012

Stayed three days with a three year old. Quiet location but close to busy St catherines. Tried oNoir the blind resto...wow that was intense. great to get back to hospitality and kindess of the staff at Hotel Chateau. We stayed in downstairs suite which was perfect...nicely appointed although I would agree with others that first exterior impressions dont match the greast experience inside. Would definitely come back!

Room Tip: Basement Suite is a love nest :-)

The 5 star rating of the Chateau St. Marc? The staff & owner very friendly. The room had to much -STUFF- in it. It was very cluttered with furniture, toiletries, rugs, metal frames on the ceilings. Our room had a view of cobwebs & a courtyard roof.
The city & restaurants, Old Montreal fantastic! The hotel/B&B was not what I was expecting.
I got the feeling (owners) in montreal had their staff post reviews on trip advisor. We had success finding restaurants by just walking & finding restaurants. When I would go look for them on trip advisor they where way down the list. Just seemed strange.
My Montreal experience was fantastic! A very young, vibrant & energetic city! I would highly recommend a visit!

Dear Guest
Our main reason of existence is to change to the better the way you feel when you check in to the time you check out. When you are a guest we want you to feel the most comfortable and the happiest if we don’t succeed in doing that then our mission is not accomplished and then we fall into the mediocre Hotel category and this is a grave for us.
We try to make the place as nice as possible to satisfy most tastes, we try to give you fast responsiveness and we are always ready to go out of the norms if that what it takes to make you satisfied.
When you are a guest with us we need and rely on your requests and criticism to be able to change what you don’t like and if we don’t get that help from you we cannot excel.
On our side we are almost finished with making the place the best appealing that it can be.
We are not a regular Hotel we are a place to host with a personal touch.
Sincerely

Stayed in the Royal Suite of this hotel when we come to see Madonna's show in Montreal from Quebec city. It's like a big condo with two bedrooms, two king beds, three flat screen TVs and all kitchen and home appliances you could imagine. They have one single extra bed but we didn't use. Super clean, super quite and the service is impeccable. You would feel practically at home. The breakfast included was good too. You will be served by the owners of the hotel so it is the best in town !!!

Room Tip: Royal suite on the first level with private entry is the best.

The residential outside look of this Chateau hides the amazing gem inside. Each room is custom designed for elegance and cozy nurturing. The owner and staff anticipate every need, plus offer surprises like specially made hot chocolate served on a platter to your room. The breakfast is like an elegant restaurant rather than the usual B&B. The bagels are the famous St Vincent ones which are "to die for." So many decorating details are taken care of to make you feel like a king or queen in a small palace. This is definitely a 5 star experience.

We have just come back from Quebec, and this was our first stop - what an amazing place. The owner and staff were so friendly and kind. We had gotten delayed as the airport had been closed down due to weather conditions, they were so understanding and as soon as we arrived they were waiting outside to help us with our bags. They not only settled us in but offered some food as they knew we had not ate. The room was amazing, like many others have commented they definitely did not cheap out on any of the materials - it was absolutely gorgeous. I would highly recommend this place if you are going to Montreal, very close to metro and downtown Montreal.

To begin with our room was lovely. Part of an old townhouse, some of the walls were stone with beautiful stained glass windows. No expense was sparred on the fixtures and amenities of this place. We had a king size bed, which was so comfortable. A jacuzzi tub and a glass shower with multi jets was fabulous. Water was not as hot in shower as it was in tub. They provided all toiletries including bath soap for the jacuzzi. The location is central. A short walk to the metro. Many great restaurants within walking distance. Breakfast at the hotel was wonderful. Not just a continental. Eggs, bacon, croissants etc. Delicious!! Abe, Catherine and staff were so accommodating. We are definitely going back and very soon.!!

Room Tip: We stayed in the only room with a private entrance on the first floor. (Can't remember the numb...

Hotel Chateau St-Marc was perfect. We last minute decided to do a bed and breakfast instead of a hotel, and never regretted our decision! The place on the outside may look bland, but don't be fooled! The inside is beautiful. The rooms have everything you could ask for, and have a lot of dark wood which give a homey and rich feeling. The beds were comfortable and very large. Breakfast in the morning was made to order- and the staff even waited until after breakfast time to serve- in case you wake up late (which my family tends to do!). The owner and staff are there 24hrs and very helpful. Our luggage got lost and didn't come until the next day, and one of the staff members ran out to the store to buy us tooth brushes and toothpaste! If you are looking for an elegant place to stay, with the more personal qualities- hotel chateau st-marc is for you! Highly recommend it!
