Our hotel made reservations for the terrace restaurant so that we could watch the fireworks. There was a $25 cover charge for each person. My husband and I went with high expectations. The menu was quite limited and only tapas choices. The service of our waitress was the worst we have ever experienced. We sat for 20 minutes with a drink menu in front of us. Another couple was then seated next to us. It was after she took their order that we asked her if we could order drinks. Then about 15 minutes later, we had to ask the hostess for food menus. Again, after much time had passed we had to wave the waitress down to ask if we could order. She was inattentive to us for the 2+ hours that we were there. Our dinner, that consisted of a small salad, two finger size lobster rolls and a petite-sized beef tartare, along with one glass of sangria, two glasses of beer and a mixed drink cost $153 with the cover charge.
I would have eaten dinner at one of the other wonderful restaurants that we ate at during our stay in Montreal and watched the fireworks from the bridge if I had known the night would be so disappointing.
