horrrible service!!! I'm a big Montreal foodie who is always on the hunt of new restaurants and was excited to try le filet for a long time. I was extremely disappointed. The staff were very rude and somehow insulting because we were a bit late which really ruined my mood for the rest of the day. Food was not great. I'd rather go to other restaurants such as Helena or Joe Beef where service is far beyond and above this horrible service.
WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!

Excellent tapas bar, the dishes are so flavourful that you can never get enough, professional service and acceptable atmosphere, for me the best in it’s category, it’s a pity that restaurants like this do not get international fame and recognition, would be even greater if they think about having a tasting menu composed of 12-15 types of small dishes.

Le Filet is an incredible restaurant that makes me feel so at home the second I walk through the door. I've been with friends and family, or just alone with my boyfriend and each experience has been so cosy. The staff is attentive and knowledgable. The food is refined and tasty. I can only say positive things about this place :)

We were well received upon arrival, and the service was quite attentive throughout.

The food was both tasty and attractive. The risotto was absolutely wonderful, as were the various starters. Calling the dishes tapas struck me as a misnomer. In fact, the volume was a little less than normal, but not to tapas levels. But then again, you can call it whatever you like...it's all good!

The down-side for many might be the price. We didn't over indulge on either the food or drinks, and the all-inclusive price per person ran to approximately $100. Nonetheless, we all enjoyed the evening and didn't find that the price exceeded the quality, and likely, it didn't bother the large crowd of relatively young clients.

For those looking for a quiet evening, Le Filet may disappoint. It is a rather noisy place. For others, it may well be a lively sign of the restaurant's popularity.

Be sure to call ahead, well ahead, for a reservation.

Thank Gary M
