“Innovative food, excellent service”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 14, 2013

Among the many great restaurants in Montreal, this one rates highly. The food was innovative without being pretentious - plates meant for sharing, all ranging from very good to outstanding. Wine list was similarly solid, with a good selection of Canadian and international. The service was attentive and informed. Despite a mix up with the reservations (on their side), our reception was warm and a table found immediately (which was quite a feat, given the popularity of the place). Only down side is that it's noisy - boisterous, fun noisy, but still hard to hear your companions as the night progresses. Worth a trip.

“Tres Chic and you'll fight (amicably) over every morsel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

Wonderful new restaurant from the owners of Club Chasse et Peche. Focus on "smaller" dishes to share. Truly inspired and creative combinations that changed the way we thought of key ingredients and what pairs well with them. The staff also did an exceptional job pairing wines by the glass with each dish. Sometimes it was a glass on the menu, but frequently it was from "this other bottle we opened tonight". Pretty sure we were the only anglophones there, but it communication wasn't a problem at all

“My favorite new restaurant!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 23, 2013

The food was phenomenal... Cannot praise it more!
The service was the way I like it: no pretention, very delightful and knowledge of there product!
The atmosphere busy and happy makes you feel jet set!
The cost is expensive but definitely worth saving for because the foodie in me was delighted and now compares everywhere else to here!
100 thumbs up!!!

“Delicious, Delicate and Delightful”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2013

Here we were met for first time eaters with courtesy as if we were friends .
Service was very good , not overpowering and yet perfectly adequate . 5 plates of food we shared were all excellent several to die for! Fish dishes were especially good with the tenderest lobster in hollandaise sauce !!!
We will definitely go back . In my top 5 best meals ever

“Very good, our best experience in North America”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 14, 2013 via mobile

We come from Europe and we visited Montreal and New York for a week in Mai 2012. We organised our trip through recommendation of our friends, meaning we were trying to get the best restaurant to discover. We had our best experience in Le Filet.
The restaurant was open since a year, but the place starts to be famous in Montreal. You need to reserve and only could get a table quiet late.
The place is open, the people are busy and the table are quiet simple.
The food was innovative but also very good. We went from surprise to surprise.
We wish that restaurant to keep the high level for our next visit in Montreal !
