There's just something about this place. as soon as you walk in the smell of freshly baked buttery croissants and espresso just hit you. Went for a quick stop on my way to the old port for an espresso.. this must be the 5th or 6th time this past year... just perfect shots of espresso every time. proper temperature ( not scalding like some places nearby ) and flavourful (nutty, woody) with the right amount of "crema" at the top with no harsh aftertaste. I usually need to take 2 sugars with my espresso but here i drink it straight up. Honestly its worth the walk from downtown just for their espresso's/lattes. Its disappointing that many bars/cafe's/speciality coffee shops in the area just don't know what they are doing when it comes to coffees... either burnt, too cold, wayyy too long, or just plain bad coffee.. the worst is when ordering a latte and all u taste is burnt milk.. i asked for a latte not a ricotta-caffe!!! Thank you Mon Plaisir for making the perfect coffee, every time! Probably the best espresso I have ever had. Please guys don't change your grind, mix of beans, Rancillo machine ( the best espresso machines available for commercial use.. look it up! ) or whatever it is you guys are doing.
