This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel in Old Montreal, and the experience has been excellent both times! Extremely friendly and courteous staff, very helpful, and nothing is ever a problem. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They have an extremely good complimentary breakfast with a variety of foods to choose from- certainly not the ‘continental’ breakfast served in many hotels. Also, the location is perfect for exploring Old Montreal, with its attractions and many restaurants. My only mild gripe is that the TV programming is poor, and often the guide says you will be getting one program when in fact you get something completely different. Oh well, it’s a small concern since you shouldn’t be going to Montreal just to watch TV anyway!

A great place to stay at the heart of Montreal. On the upside, the breakfast is great, the Internet service is fast and reliable, there is a swimming pool (mostly for kids to play in) and a small gym. The only down sides are that the AC units are retrofitted window mounted, and the linens are a bit abrasive.

On a small street about 1-1/2 blocks from Notre Dame, a very nice hotel. Great walking distance from most anything in Old Montreal and to the Metro. We had a mini-suite with king-size bed, mini-kitchen, desk, and sofa. Clean, comfortable, nicely done, staff was gracious and helpful. The pool was too small to swim in and needed some work. Valet parking was right next door, for a fee. I would definitely stay there again.

Right in the heart of Montreal's Old Town, SpringHill Suites is conveniently located! Steps away from the river, the basilica and great eateries, some rooms offering dramatic views. Breakfast is included with your room...and for a free breakfast, it's pretty spectacular...fresh fruit, pastries, assorted drinks, eggs, and cereals.

The walls are VERY thin. we were subjected to amorous grunts from the couple in the next room...i think they were training for a marathon.

I recommend this hotel, and I would stay here again.

First of all, the staff in the hallway must have had a lot of catching up to do on the latest right in front of our door at barely 9:15 am, this went on for half an hour until I poked my head out the door and then again till they got the message.
The joining room door with the sounds coming from that room, were well i’ll Leave that to the imagination. The paint was peeling off the doors, very dated. When we checked out there was no coffee at 10:30 am, seriously. And when I inquired at the front desk I was told there was no coffee available as an attendant looked on holding the empty caraf. Breakfast was only served till 10:00 am on weekends, seriously. All in all as an elite gold member this Marriotts was really lame, dated and just poorly managed.Plus the TV didn’t work, this in an upgraded room, very disappointed Marriotts.

Dear markdriadelle,

We wish to thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with the travel community.

We sincerely apologize for the noise in the hallway that was caused by some of our employees. We have discussed this issue with our management team to make sure it does not happen again.

We understand your request of having coffee available past our breakfast hours. Unfortunately, our hotel must follow the Marriott standards in regards to our offered amenities, and the SpringHill Suites brand does not offer 24-hour coffee station.

We look forward to hosting you at the SpringHill Suites Old Montreal on all your future stays!
