Description: Taverne F is Ferreira's new born from the Ferreria group. Located in the heart of the effervescent Quartier des Spectacles, in a luminous and relaxed atmosphere, Taverne F is a must for all foodies. Chef offers a savoring petiscos menu - word for portuguese version of tapas - in which he favors fresh market produce with a Portuguese touch! His inspiration? 'I hope to offer our clients perfumed, light and typical Mediterranean dishes, a region where I come from, along with Portuguese accents in which olive oil will be my sole instrument!' He explains with enthusiasm. The service is friendly and discreet which adds to the wonderful dining experience at Taverne F.

We had dinner (there were five of us) on a Friday night by securing last minute reservations at the F Bar through the concierge at the Regency Room, Hyatt downtown. It is fresh Portuguese food, which is nicely presented and quite efficient given the very tight quarters (basically a glass box on a sidewalk!). The service was friendly, and we shared a few dishes to experience the different dishes. The prices are a bit high, but the food is good although the portions are not large. Best to go for the taste, not the quantity- and it does taste like it might even be good for you! An enjoyable meal out in la belle ville.

I was pleasantly surprised by F Bar, having dined a few times at Ferreira's a few years ago and never having been blown away. We both tried the salmon off the bar menu with a nice glass of white wine recommended to us by our waitress who let us taste it first, and were not disappointed. I look forward to going back so I can try other things.

The restaurant is well located in the heart of Montreal's "Quartier des spectacles". No problem finding parking in the area.

The menu offers a wide variety of typical Mediterranean food that will please most. Even gluten-free alternatives. The wine list is fine too. The place can get a tad crowded and the space between table it minimal; could be an issue for sensitive discussions. The service is professional, courteous and quick. Water glass is always full.

Visited again during the summer, trying out the terasse. However, it lacked shade so it was very (very!) hot; enjoyed the drinks inside ;).

For sure a repeat.

Cafe Ferreira's little sister doesn't disappoint with simple seafood dishes cooked and flavored to perfection. Great decor in the middle of Le Quartier des spectacles. I come here for lunch once a month at least.

Nice atmosphere and good service. Great little spot for a late night bite and drinks. Cocktails were very nice!
