Description: Chez Chose offers a menu from a blackboard. This menu varies depending on the season and the products from our providers, each and every one of them Quebec's very own craftsmen. It also varies following the fantasies of our chef Marie-France Desrosiers whom plays around the products we receive, maintaining a fresh and seasonal selection. May it be foie gras, vegetables, rabbit, guinea fowl regardless of the delivery, she will lay in your plate a joyful mix of flavours . The perfect brew of our local farmers' hard work and the genius of Marie-France has made Chez Chose something... Grandiose. Have a taste, you will see....

I don't know if I can do justice to this restaurant with a review! Our host (owner) was welcoming and fun!! He is a true show man and the perfect ambassador for Montreal. Then there's the food! Every dish we ordered (there were three of us) was soooo succulent! I really don't think you could go wrong with any dish ordered at this restaurant and I am a picky eater. Everything served here is served with love. The environment was charming - a true neighborhood gem! We would go back there in a "heart beat!"

We visited for brunch one Sunday afternoon. The food was excellent. The owner was very friendly and gave us some great recommendations from the menu. Choosing was actually quite hard because everything looked so good and all the dishes we saw coming from the kitchen tempted us. Sadly after our initial wonderful conversation with the owner we were pretty much abandoned, never asked about a refill on our coffee and left waiting forever to finally receive our bill and then again to pay it.

I would certainly go back because the food was so good. I'm just hoping that this was a rare lazy sunday morning experience and not their regular level of service.

Chez Chose offers fresh ingredients, well prepared, in a comfortable setting, served by a delightful family anxious to make you feel at home. So what could be wrong? If you like what they offer, then absolutely nothing. I had a great meal of smoked arctic char and duck confit. My wife, on the other hand, doesn't like duck or smoked fish. In fact, she didn't see anything on the menu she did like. She is not a picky eater, but she tends to like the standbys of fish or chicken and there were really no "routine" dishes on the menu. Bottom line, you might want to call ahead about what they are serving the evening you plan to go if your party includes some non-foodie traditionalists.

Last night my husband and I dined at Chez Chose where we had an outstanding experience. The setting was cozy; our waiter, very charming and knowledgeable about the extensive and unique blackboard menu. The choices we made were exquisite to look at and exquisite to the palate. The ingredients in the dishes we chose had to have been sourced from a very fine farmer's market and the residents of Montreal are lucky to have a chef at Chez Chose who knows how to interpret those ingredients into marvelous food. Too bad we were only in town overnight or we would have returned. Don't miss it. Everything was delicious!

We visited this restaurant for dinner on a Saturday. We were a group of 6. The place is small and cozy. Nothing fancy. Our host was one of the co-owners. Very friendly and provided us with excellent service. His daughter is one the 3 co-owners. She also is the Chef. Her food is amazing! Very creative and out-of-the-ordinary! In terms of price, you pay less with the same originality and quality you would find in more "established" restaurants in Montreal. Go there without hesitation!
