One of the best location in Montreal for business as well as for family vacation. Situated in the hear of Montreal next to a small park. Very relaxing in the summer time. Concert hall, railway station, most of the banks and some of the corporate office are just few minuets ride or 5 to 10 min walking distance. Some of the nice restuarent around that location. Just few min from the famous Jazz fastival in July. Room are specious , clean. Room service was very prompt and the food was really good. Interestingly price is quite reasonable. Service is very good. Specially the door man helped us every time we need to get a Taxi of carrying our luggages. Over all it good Marriott service that you can expect from a Marriott.

Room Tip: Excellent location in Downtown Montreal

The location of this hotel is ideal as it was close to my business, 10 minute walk to St Catherines and about a 20 minute walk to Old Montreal!
The room was well maintained and clean. No complaints. The view is wonderful.
Lots of places to grab food from the hotel restaurant to the couple of cafes in the concourse of the hotel. Or walk over to Old Montreal and try the various cafes/restaurants over there.

Room Tip: Get a room on the higher floors to get a better view of Montreal.

I just spent 1 night here on business. Typical Marriott, good bed, medium size room with a small bathroom. The hidden gem here is "Ronny" the concierge. He is a whimsical, knowledgeable gentleman who has been at this hotel for 46 years so he knows his stuff! Location is good, 10 minute walk to St. Catherine Street for shopping and dining and 10 minute walk to Old Montreal where the options for dining are endless! You can't go wrong staying here.

Room Tip: Room 501 has a good view of the city but would be even better on a higher floor.

Right in the middle of the city, perfect location for sightseeing. I was given a corner suite and the view was great. The staff is very helpful and the metro is accessible from the lobby. Certainly will consider to stay again here.

Tonight is my last night here, I'm in the room on the free wifi.
The hotel is just (and I mean just) out of the noisy downtown area. Before it was surrounded by other skyscrapers it must have some fantastic views - unfortunately they are often glimpses of views now.
The staff are great - they care about their hotel, it is clean - infact it sparkles in places.
The architect needs praise - he/she designed a hotel with rooms that you can swing a cat in (infact several cats end to end :) I don't think I have an Executive or Club room, but it has a bath - (not for every day - but so nice when you want one) - it has a dressing area, it has plenty of clothes storage and some where out the way to put a big suitcase - not looking at it at the end of the too short bed, as in so many hotels.
There is a temptation to say it needs a refit... but we all know what would happen, some clever person would work out how to make each floor hold 20% more rooms - none with any space to swing that cat. So no - it does not need a refit, marble lined bathrooms etc will come back - and this will be an original example.
THe food is OK - to be honest I have not had the best food in Canada (sorry) - the bar I think serves the best; the atmosphere is relaxed and the there is TV/music. The restaurant is a bit too formal for the kitchen.
The staff do their job properly, all is relaxed and by and large efficent. It is literally connected to the metro, it has a pool, a superb gym, jacuzzi, etc. There is even a small arcade of shops in the lobby The bar staff know how to mix a good drink, and seem to have the best espresso machine in the hotel.
All in all a good hotel, even if it is showing slight signs of being dated. I know that I would prefer this to a steel and glass modern place with no soul, and rooms that are just too small. Which actually reminds me I need to write up another hotel... it won't be such a nice review.

Room Tip: Floor 20 is high enough to avoid any noise from the top or the bottom
