Good place to walk around and explore, very scenic and many streets are closed to cars seasonally to accommodate the massive foot traffic. Very convenient to the Place-D'Armes metro. At the time I visited there was a free military exposition going on with a bagpipe concert, War of 1812 museum, reenactments and other attractions.

Many cities have this sort of port-side attraction - Chicago, NYC, etc. - but this has the added charm of history and age. Lots to see, quaint shops made out of shipping containers, an IMAX theatre, science center and many places to eat.

This area used to be run down and very seedy. Renovations have turned it into a very interesting and trendy spot. On a warm and clear day it is a wonderful place to just wander and take in the atmosphere of the area. Great food and super display can keep the whole family interested.

Did a walk-through and ended up going on an afternoon boat cruise on the St. Laurence. It was nice and the tour guide with AML was helpful. English and French.

We took a ride through Old Montreal and then the bus did a tour on the water of the port from the water. What a spectacular site. This is a great tour of both the old port and old Montreal
