Owner description: Mile-End is a quaint yet contemporary quarter teaming with multiculturalism and filled with cafés, bars, restaurants, specialty grocery shops, boutiques, galleries, hot yoga spots, great bakeries and Montreal-style bagels served fresh and hot. Many of its residents are eco-friendly and artistic -- in summer, it is not unusual to see guitarists strumming a tune.

“Cool neighborhood with great resaurants”
Reviewed January 1, 2013

We did a home exchange to Mile End and were not disappointed. It has a fun Tribeca/Brooklyn vibe with a lot of great little cafes, restaurants, bakeries, shops. It probably wouldn't be top on my list if I only had a short time in Montreal, but it was definitely a fun place to stay.

“what a fun and funky place”
Reviewed October 25, 2012

Went to Mile End to eat at Nouveau Palais (which is fantastic) but had a walk around the neighbourhood - worth a visit - check out the Spice Station if you like tea and spices and wonderful aromas - great staff as well, very knowledgeable. Try the bookstores - fun and funky and well stocked, vintage clothes, even the green grocer was fun. Not to be missed if you are visiting Montreal. And do eat at Nouveau Palais - try the mac and cheese and cookies and milk.

“Great neighborhood for that relaxed feel”
Reviewed July 26, 2012

The Mile-End is unpretentious, bohemian, progressive, and just has a really nice overall feel to it.
