The beauty of this tranquil park has been taken over by the street "kids" and their dogs. On any given day they take over one part or another of this beautiful green space. I realize the park is for everyone, however on several occassions I did not feel safe sitting by myself. The garbage left behind is disgusting. I have lived in this city for close to two years and it remains beyond my comprehension as to why these "kids" are allowed to occupy parks and street corners. I realize that some have disabilities but surely there are social programs available that will ensure they have more of a future than washing windshields (rain or shine), doing drugs, drinking & begging.
