Super happy with my stay here. The hotel is in a sweet location downtown; close to everything. Very clean, great service, comfortable bed, and a nice lounge to relax in. I've stayed in a number of different hotels downtown Montreal, and I'd have to say this is the best one to date. If I go back to Montreal, I'll be staying here.

I was really disappointed with my stay at this Hyatt. There was construction throughout the hotel and some of the amenities were unavailable. Also, this was during the Osheaga music festival, one of the busiest weeks to be in Montreal.

We had a free night extended to us at the Hyatt Regency in Montreal after a less than happy visit last February and finally took them up on it. And I am so happy that we did. The hotel has an excellent location right downtown. We took a smoking room which had a beautiful view of Place des Arts facing out on St Catherine's Street and at nighttime it was absolutely breath taking. I'd also like to mention the smoking rooms at the Hyatt have air purifiers in them which was a really nice change from the traditional smoking rooms that end up getting so stuffy.

The young lady that checked us in was very friendly and did everything she could to make us feel comfortable. While we did have to wait about an hour for our room to be ready she was very apologetic and even had a surprise delivered to our room to make up for it.

The hotel itself is located directly on top of the Place Dejardins mall which was great. All kinds of stores and restaurants. From there you have indoor underground access to the underground city connecting you to numerous places, place des arts, several metro systems, the bell center and more. The best part is not even needing your jacket, the hotel elevator brings you right to it all without having to step outside.

While the rooms are a bit dated they are very comfortable and clean. The rest of the hotel is very modern (I believe they are in the process of renovating their rooms). The pool is beautiful. They also have a bar, gym, lounge area, restaurant and best of all ROOM SERVICE!!! In and Out valet parking is a bit expensive at just over 30$ per day but if you only plan to leave the hotel in your car once or twice you can park in the Dejardins Complex parking which only costs you 10$ each time you leave and its right there at the hotel also. Besides that you don't really need your car at all with all of the metro access right outside your elevator door :)

When leaving the hotel I had only one complaint which was a surprise wake up call we received on our phone at 3am which the hotel was able to see we did not ask for but couldn't tell us why we had received it. But yet again they found a way to make it up to me. We had ordered and been granted a late checkout for 21,95$ which upon checking my cc statement I see they have reversed back to me, I can only assume in apology for the wake up call. I did notice and am very grateful. Thank you very much Hyatt for a wonderful stay, we will definitely be back when we are in the area!

Went down to Montreal for a Saturday night winter break and fully enjoyed the Hyatt. I love the location, very central. My room included appetizers and breakfast. Staff were attentive and super helpful. The beds are Hyatt comfortable, but some of the furnishings are a bit long in the tooth for this level of hotel. I understand they are remodelling.

Stayed at room 1062, the last room on the floor. I was already miserable checking in at 1:15am and needing to get up at 6:30... The room was next to an equipment room of some sort (could be heater or pump). Every 20 min or so a very loud, rattling noise would come up for a few minutes. I couldn't sleep all night.
Sorry for the low rating. Everything else seems fine - staff was great, room was clean (other than the alarm that was off by 4 hours). But that noise was a deal breaker. No clue why the room is still being rented under that condition....

The 7 of us spent a girls weekend in Montreal celebrating a friend's 40th birthday.

We rented two adjoining rooms, each with 2 double beds. Adjoining rooms are a rarity in Montreal, so this was a real find for us.

This is an upscale, boutique-like hotel in a great location. Less than a 10 minute cab ride from the train station, walking distance to the shops on Rue St. Catherine, and less than 10 minute cab ride or 20 minute walk to the bars on Rue Peel.

When we first entered the rooms, we found them to be pretty dark at first and needed to turn on all the lamps to get a lot of light in the room. Both rooms had 2 double beds, flat-screen TVs with bar fridge and safe underneath, desk and chair, and floor to ceiling windows.

The bathrooms were decent sized, but could use some attention paid to them (broken bathroom handle, peeling plaster).

There is a food court and shopping in the underground mall (Complexe Desjardins), which means you don't have to go outside unless you need to.

The reception area consists of fireplaces and comfortable lounge chairs which makes the area warm and inviting. The resto lounge played cool music and has a great bar.

The warm and inviting pool is in an enclosed area with glass ceilings and comfy lounge chairs.

The one negative we had with this hotel was the lack of free wi-fi.

Note for runners - Every Friday at 5:00pm you can participate in a fun run with Claude. This 13km run takes you to either Mont Royal or Canal Lachine

Note for wine connoisseurs - Wine tasting is available at the wine bar in Six resto lounge. There are up to 20 wines to sample.

The hotel is great! The internet service is just terrible! The base package is expensive and so slow that it takes a long time to get emails. They should be ashamed for offering such a bad service. No other Hyatt Regency's I have stayed at have such bad internet.
