Check in was quick and easy. Travelling with a large group. Room was not the cleanest. Needed a better vacuum. Bathroom was very clean. Hotel is dated. Close to Olympic Park and Saputo Stadium if attending events there. Door to outside was a bit sketchy.

Stayed: July 2018, traveled with family

My husband and I were really happy with the room Catherine switched us to when we checked in. It was quiet and lovely with a poolside exit and view. Catherine was also accomodating and funny while obliging our large family group by taking photos on multiple phones for us on the main staircase. Any time we called the front desk they were responsive and attentive. The extended check-out time was also surprisingly reasonable. Thanks for your hospitality.

Room Tip: Rooms by the outdoor pool have amazing views and convenient for easy access to the water.

At check-in waited in line for sometime. The gentleman that on the phone did not even acknowledge we were standing at the desk. Once he had gotten off the phone he looked us in the face and walked away. The young female came from a office and begin our check in process. No where on the website does it say the cost of $150.00 per room for incidental charges as we had two rooms they put a $300.00 hold on my card and I was told once we check out the amount will be return to my card that very second. As of this day we are still waiting on the amount to be returned to my card. I have called my bank and they have stated they do not see a reversal of this amount from this hotel. I have called the hotel and have gotten different stories of when the amount will be return. We have stayed thru out Canada this past week at the Hilton , Sheraton and was never charge the amount that we were charged at this hotel and this hotel does not even compare to those hotels.

Room Tip: Do not stay find one in a better area of town that is near things

Dear guest,

We apologize for this inconvenience during you stay and at the check-in. We are sorry to hear you felt a behavior you didn't like from our team.
Concerning the deposit. We didn't charged you. We took a pre-authorization that means 300$ CAD was hold on your credit card.
This security deposit is canceled between 4 or 5 business days after the check-out according your bank.

Moreover each hotel has his own operating mode. We don't know how Hilton and Sheration hotels work but I can assure you that we respect our customers and their requests.

For every check-in we proceed with the same process and and it's very rare that we have problems with the deposit.

One slow elevator from the lobby, spent so much time waiting for it during our two night stay it was not funny.

Housekeeping made the bed and folded the towels... but didn’t leave any shampoo or conditioner? I have never seen a hotel do this. I know we could have called front desk for more but what kind of half-@$$ housekeeping service does that? Worst housekeeping service in a hotel that I have seen in about a decade. Don’t even bother showing up to make the bed at this point!

Hallways were more or less air conditioned, again, housekeeping guy pushing laundry cart walking around sighing loudly for dramatic effect, it was almost comical.

Room service ends at 10pm, the one 24hr restaurant in the guide was closed for Reno with a message saying they re-open for delivery the 19th. We were the 21st.

Breakfast is expensive and nothing that fantastic - they would do better having a buffet again at that price.

The room was nice. Renovated in the last 2-3 years maximum.

Very confortable bed.

In need of a better fridge though.

The door would not close/lock properly, we had to pull on it 3-4 times to get it to latch.

For that rate, we could have done much better and earned miles/points at other hotels with breakfast included and superior services and rooms.

We apologize for the inconveniences. We'll transfer your notice to the housekeeping manager for this issue does not happen again in the future.

Concerning the room service and the breakfast, we'll inform the restaurant. Indeed, The restaurant «Le Toit Rouge» is independent of the hotel with his own management.

I stayed at the "hotel"..but its more like a youth hostel to be honest.
Largest critiques were
-Old, tired rooms. Super old duvets.
-Dirty old carpet in the hallways and rooms
-the clientele staying at the hotel was hundreds of children. Noisy, boisterous kids running up and down the hallways after hours. Knocking on strangers doors. Hotel did nothing to ensure noise was under control.

-Maids left the garbage full in my room from previous guest. Gross

-Hotel bar was terrible. Waitress was eating pizza while publicly serving guests. Gross. Also thats pretty much against health codes.
-The only redeeming feature of this hotel was the bathroom was renovated.
