My partner and I stayed at this hotel for a single night. It had very good reviews online, and for a Monday night, reasonably priced. It's not a huge hotel, and it's not that appealing from the outside. But the lobby was modern and quaint - actually, the entire hotel is like that. We had a room on the 8th (of 9) floors. Big bed, comfy bed; large spacious room - with a modest sized tv and mini fridge. Bathroom was clean, but nothing fancy.

Only issues would be parking - there's a lot next to the hotel, but is one of those "leave your car all day" lots as they box each and every car in to maximize space. It's $15 for the day, which is reasonable for the area. Also, I had an issue getting onto the wifi, but it wasn't imperative enough for me to figure it out. To be honest, I'm not sure if it's free wifi or not, so that'll be one thing you'll have to check out on your own

All in all, it was decent. Nothing spectacular, but there is MUCH worse in the city. For the price, it is a real gem

We booked this hotel on Groupon and were getting an Executive King Room. We were happy with the price that we paid and the location of this hotel since we were going to see P!NK at Le centre Bell. As for the hotel, well, it's old. The carpet was dirty and the room was very small. The bed was comfy and clean, same for the bathroom. The decor is ugly, but hey, who cares, we were there to see P!NK. I would never pay for the full price for this hotel. The parking, ha ya yaye! There's about 17 spots at 18$ a night. I never saw a small parking like this and don't use it if you have a big car, SUV, you will regret it unless you're a pro driver.

My wife and I stayed over on a Friday & Saturday weekend March 15,16, 2013.The hotel is located on Berri St just off René Lévesque Blvd, a few blocks from great restaurants. It's an older hotel, 10 stories, we booked an executive room, clean and tidy. It was fairly quiet as we were worried about a large number of young hockey players staying that weekend. The front desk (extremely friendly and helpful) spoke both French and English and assured us that the players were booked on the lower levels and security would make sure to keep the noise if any at a lower volume. Our floor was higher up so we didn't hear anything. The beds were a bit "too firm" for me, my wife didn't seem to mind. They used plastic glasses instead of real glass and the ice bucket did not contain the plastic bag that is usually available in most hotels. TV had all the channels and worked fine. Parking is available underground. Only a few spaces, very tight. We arrived at 2:30pm , since we were early we were able to get a good spot first. We just left the car and walked everywhere. Parking was $17 a day.

Room Tip: Arrive early to get a parking space and a quiet room on the higher levels.

We stayed at the lord berri for 3 nights and new years eve. We were pleasantly greeted by the staff and got a decent clean spacious room that we were happy with.

This hotel is close to the strip St Catherine for partying so it's poppin at event times. we were there for new years eve.

Only negative was the windows are sealed completely shut so you can't get good fresh air, and the fan in the room was ancient. Not a huge deal hey it's a budget hotel. You also receive a very unfriendly rule list upon checking in that is more threatening than welcoming, but hey they're trying to somewhat control the partying it's understandable.

It was a good experience overall, but next time would spend a bit more for a place a tad more upscale. If you're on a tight budget, this place is decent and you could do much worse.

This hotel, although not in the center of Montreal is within walking distance (less than 5 minutes) to the subway station, which is why I think it's a great location. You can just take the subway and go wherever you want without paying for a downtown hotel. The price was good and it was clean and we felt safe in there. There's an Italian restaurant on site for food, drinks, or just coffee. The staff was helpful and polite. The only thing that we didn't like was that we had to pay for parking, I think 20 or 25 dollars a night which adds up to the price per night.

The pluses - location is great, price was excellent, room was large and clean, the beds were comfy. Large TV, desk to work on and wifi. Fast elevators.

The negatives - limited parking available (had to scramble to find spaces), night staff service needs improvement.

**Avoid using the back exit, street people use the loading dock area to sleep and smoke up

Room Tip: Only exit from the main lobby doors
