Nice sheraton downtown Montreal .
Rooms are nice and big.
Nice restaurant for breakfast.
People at restaurant were really rude and situation was reported to the reception.
Nice restaurant Decaf 77 just in front of this hotel I recommend it .
Long waiting like usual in big hotels for check in .

Spent 12 night here and enjoyed my stay. Close to lots of shopping and the metro. Under ground parking made for easy in and out with the car. Room was clean and comfortable. Never had to wait long for the elevator.

I stayed at the Sheraton for a conference. My room was on the 29th floor overlooking a huge construction site. The view was pretty spectacular, in spite of the cranes, etc. the room was large and comfortable with a good sized bathroom. Very good for the business traveler with plenty of electrical outlets. The hotel restaurant was fine for lunch and the area is good for shopping and dining. Take a taxi to the old port section of Montreal and walk along the water.

Room Tip: I liked having a room on the 29th floor. There is a lot to see.

We stayed at this hotel on 7/30 for our anniversary in Montreal. We got a good deal on Priceline, which made the stay even more worth it! Some reviewers have commented on the age of the hotel but I didn't see this as a problem at all. There are nice common-use facilities that seem to have been updated sometime recently, and the room was very comfortable, clean, and in good condition, especially the bed. We were on the 17th floor with a construction site outside our window which I thought might be an issue but we never heard them working. Overall, we enjoyed the hotel and it's location very much- it was within walking distance to everything we wanted to see. This is a good choice for a stay in downtown Montreal, but be prepared to pay for parking (32 dollars/night I think?). Oh and they will give you free internet in the room if you sign up with their rewards points program at the front desk, which you can cancel later. This was not a hassle, the front desk attendant did it in 2 minutes and it was nice to have the internet.

I spent three nights at this hotel for a conference.

The room was nice, with mostly newish furnishings (bed, desk, dresser, TV, although the comfy chairs were a bit worn). The bathroom was clean and in good shape.

The location is excellent, close to food, entertainment and transportation. The conference WiFi, accessible in the room, was pretty good.

Love that the room had a safe.

Service was prompt.

Also, there was a blackout one night when I was there, and the hotel handled it well, discounting my entire stay, giving free water and glow sticks (not very effective, but a nice gesture), etc.

The only negatives:

The shower was the hand-held massager type, and the holder was lousy so it was difficult to position and was unsteady. Twice I got hit in the back by the falling massager. Not fun.

Like most big conference hotels, there were some waits for the elevator during peak times.

I would stay here again if the price was the same.

Very nice hotel located right next to the main shopping street. Not very far away from the old port. Two remarks - the cleaning on 19-th floor was horrible! We found a blouse from a precedent guest under one of the chairs! :-( The second minus is the noise from the street. Bad isolation of the windows!

I read a few reviews of an outdated hotel and was quite concerned. This hotel is not new but is still a fine property. Do not worry about the age of this hotel, it adds character and is not a flaw. It definitely meets Sheraton standards. The hotel is located close to the underground mall and St. Catherine street (main shopping area). Convenient to buses, subways and walking distance to restaurants. Attractions are a bit further away but you can walk or use mass transit. Their hospitality was outstanding and attentive (my French is awful), so I do appreciate their patience. They do speak English so do not worry but French is their native tongue. The concierge was very helpful with suggestions for attractions, restaurants and events. Our room had a view of rue Rene-Levesque towards the harbor. The room was clean and neat with comfortable beds. The AC/Heat was a bit noisy but not a bother. The hotel had a lot to offer: pool, steam room, hot tub, restaurant, currency exchange, store, lounge area and meeting rooms. Ample underground parking is available (self parking 25 Cad per day or valet 32 Cad per day). You can also purchase discount attraction tickets from the desk. As for the food, it was very expensive, we did not eat in the hotel. As an example, an egg breakfast was 18-21 Cad. However, I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: Higher floors have a better view.
