We got a good rate for this hotel on Expedia, so we weren't sure what to expect. We drove from New York and were concerned about parking. We figured we would ask when we arrived. The staff (very friendly) directed us to parking in the rear of the hotel - very convenient! We stayed in the one-bedroom suite and it was great - clean, comfortable, quiet. Down the street from McGill University, it's close to nearly everything. We just left the car and walked. We bought a few groceries at a store just a couple blocks away but a nice breakfast is provided in the morning. One can actually order "room service" by checking off items on a grocery list provided in the kitchenette (bread, milk, etc) and leaving it with the staff the night before. We would love to visit Montreal again and would definitely stay here. I would recommend this to friends.

This hotel fulfilled everything we needed in Montreal. It was close to the metro station and McGill university. We had a one bedroom apartment stocked with everything you needed to self cater. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and spacious. Excellent value for money. We would go there again

After reading various reviews on this hotel I arrived with mixed feelings. My negatives soon disappeared after being greeted by a cheerful receptionist who soon checked me in telling me also I had been given a room upgrade from studio to one bedroom suite. My room on the 16 the floor was just perfect. Lounge smartly furnished including a 40" flat TV, a mini kitchen with full cooker, microwave etc and a ample size bedroom with queen size bed and a 32 " TV. The usual bathroom with bath, shower etc. The icing on the cake was the balcony, overlooking Mount Royal amazing at this time of the year with the trees in the fall. The included breakfast was served in a breakfast room just off the lobby. Although a little on the small size for the size of the hotel it catered easily for the guests with a well stocked buffet continental style breakfast. A small indoor pool, gym and sauna on the 17 the floor was a nice way to start a busy day of sightseeing. The hotel s situation on Sherbrooke was perfect for all the sights of Montreal and close to the Mcgill metro station perfect for getting around a busy city. Beware of some taxis though. Many drivers can't or choose not to speak English so you may find yourself going on at tour de Montreal on route to your destination. Its handy to have your destinations address written to show the driver.
All in all a fantastic 8 days in Montreal with temperatures in the low 70s, a bonus for early October. A deffinate return to L` Apartment hotel on the cards.

Room Tip: My 16th floor room very quiet and ask for a rear mountain view.

L’Appartement Hotel in Montreal was a nice surprise. We got a good price deal and not sure what to expect but we are happy of our choice to stay there. The hotel is located near McGill University across the Holiday Inn on Sherbrooke Street. It’s a very nice location close to Saint Catherine shopping area and downtown Montreal. The rooms are large, clean and comfortable. The gym was a bit disappointing but the pool on the top floor was great with an excellent view of Mt Royal. Provigo supermarket is about 200 m away on Park Avenue and Sherbrooke Street. Front desk service was efficient and polite. The breakfast was very basic but you get it for free. We tried to book again on our return to Montreal but the hotel was sold out.

I had heard about this hotel from friends and had seen it many times. This was my first stay there. I would return. The room was comfortable and well-equipped with a full kitchen and appliances. All exceptionally clean. My room faced Sherbrooke, which can be noisy, but on the 12th floor, I heard no traffic noise. Very nice roof-top pool and terrace, with a view of Mt. Royal. Breakfast was good, with a nice selection of fruit as well as the regular breads, cereal, yogurt, etc., which was continually replenished by the staff. The breakfast room was always crowded, but you can easily take a tray to your room. I thought the price was great because wi-fi was included and many Montreal hotels continue to charge extra for that. The location was perfect as the metro is nearby, and you can walk to many attractions, including McGill U. There are Provigo grocery and Jean Coutu pharmacy stores one block away.
