We were in Montreal for two nights for a quick sight-see. We took the train from Ottawa, and this BW was only a 10 minute walk from the Via Station (exit onto Rene Levesque, go left, then turn right on Drummon. So easy and convenient). There is also another BW nearby on Sherbrooke I think. I do like Best Westerns, and this one did not disappoint. We thought the rooms were nice and comfortable, my son was pleased with the exercise room, and all the staff were great. If you are an Anglophone and want to relax to some tv however, the channel selection could be a bit better (but then this is not unusual for many chains).
I did miss the "inclusive" breakfast that many Best Westerns have, but there is a Cora's restaurant in the hotel.
But there are MANY other places nearby, and although Cora's is good, and since we had to buy breakfast anyway, we checked other places locally. If you just want McD's, there are several very close. There are also several Starbucks close. There are MANY other places close. One of my choices was Bagel Expressions on nearby Cote du Beaver Hall. Google map is most helpful, and you see how close you are to many attractions. Bell Centre, for instance, is less than two blocks south. I also like to walk.More
