The main in- house restaurant, Mahjong, does not cater to the business traveller. It features large dishes to be shared among a group with no combo platters, or even the ability to build one, for parties of 1-2 people. The suite was practical, but had housekeeping issues and a problematic Internet connection. I was eventually able to get it working. Near a mix of other businesses and some eateries, but the neighbourhood is not one I would recommend walking in alone at night, which is why we opted for the in-house restaurant. There is room service which offers a better menu than the restaurant. I guess they really want you to stay in your suite!

We stayed at this hotel only because we were attending a wedding and a block of rooms were booked for the guests. I hesitated, at first, to stay here, because friends who were formally from Montreal told us that it is not a nice hotel, and I had heard similar things about Ruby Foos in the past. But I was very relieved to find that Ruby Foos has obviously been renovated and is, in fact, a very nice hotel. The beds were not great but acceptable. The hotel staff were very accommodating, and the hotel was clean. The only problem I found is, as some reviews say, the walls are very thin and you can hear the entire conversation that goes on in the neighbouring room. Try to get a room that is not an adjoining one. Parking is free and space is not a problem.

Room Tip: Not an adjoining room.

Stayed one night as part of a coach trip. Supposed to be a 4* hotel but more like 3* in appearance and creature comforts. However the location is good for those driving in to Montreal with lots of amenity stores and fast food chains within walking distance. There is also a Metro station within 5 minutes walking and Downtown Montreal can be reached in 30-40 min by Metro. The room was clean and noice levels not too bad- so if you get a good deal go for it!!!

Best location in west end for car access to everywhere as the entrance to Decarie is right there. Free parking. Great pool and gym. Best restaurant at RibNReef next door and Tiffany's for breakfast can't be beat. Wal Mart across the road.Synagogue and Kosher food nearby..

Room Tip: Ask for high rise section.

Stayed 1 night. Room was clean and quiet. Don't expect a view as it's by the busiest highway in Montreal.
I would give it a 3 stars.
