A must-stop in Montreal.Service is delightful and efficient. Food is fabulous- all 4 of us were thrilled with our selections. Best onion soup we ever had. And prices are reasonable.

“Not what we expected”
Reviewed July 20, 2013

This is a small restaurant with about 15 tables. It's run by a couple - she is the hostess and server; he is the chef. The menu is very limited: 5 or 6 main courses only. Food is French. The food was above average and quite good, but not superb. However, the service was outstanding. The restaurant is off the tourist beaten path, so plan to take a taxi there and back.

“Wonderful French Bistro in Montreal”
Reviewed July 19, 2013

This little bistro was great! I had made a reservation about a month early through their website, and I'm glad I did - Catherine (the hostess/waitress/co-owner) turned away at least four groups of people while we were there. We were given one of the two tables by the front windows, and while there wasn't much of a view, it was very charming. Catherine was wonderful! I can't say enough good things about her! She was so friendly and accommodating - as was her husband, the chef. Our food was excellent as well - We had the escargots, onion soup, steak frites, and crème brulee. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a charming and quiet restaurant where you will receive excellent individualized attention.

“A true gem”
Reviewed July 17, 2013

All the other 5 star reviews are true, this little bistro serves absolutely wonderful French bistro food in warm and welcoming surroundings with friendly and attentive service from the hostess, Catherine. The duck confit is the best duck I have ever tasted and my wife's onion soup was dense and rich with flavour. The pain perdu dessert was also delicious. Prices are very reasonable for the quality of the food, I would give 6 stars for both food and value if I could. We will certainly return.

“Charming spot with food of a 5 star restaurant but the service of a B&B”
Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

2 person operation (chef, hostess/waitress) so you feel as if you're dining at someone's home. Quiet, charming, and they give you lots of attention. Beef tartare is among best I've had. Onion soup and creme brulee live up to the billing. Food is outstanding but menu is limited. Recommend checking ahead of time to make sure they have something you like. That night, there was no fish other than a salmon appetizer.
