“The winter warmer!!”
Reviewed March 6, 2014

Excellent tea shop, across from the Notre Dame Basilique. Stopped into this shop after a carriage ride, the tea selection was incredible. Dozens of teas. The presentation was like drinking tea for the first time. We were served on proper tea sets which added to the experience. The prices were reasonable so we grabbed some tea to take home as well. This was just what the Dr. ordered on a single digit degree day.

“Discover an Authentic Chinese Tea Room!”
Reviewed December 29, 2013

The juxtapose of an authentic Chinese Team Room directly across from Notre Dame in Old Montreal somehow seemed perfectly matched -- but that's how Montreal is. Everything just "fits." We loved the whole experience of the tea ceremony so much that we went back a second time during our trip, and also brought home a nice selection of loose leaf teas. If you want to enjoy the tea experience there, the shop has about 8 tables. The menu of teas includes green, yellow, white, black, medicinal, japanese, chinese, etc. There is a small assortment of vegetarian "snack" foods, but very tasty! The shop is packed with literally hundreds of tea sets of every imaginable shape and size in beautiful lit display cases, along with other Asian curios. The owner and staff are friendly and explain the tea rituals to make the experience richer. Though we were on a romantic holiday, so enjoyed the peace and calm of the setting, we did note that a few tables had children -- makes a great, non-touristy cultural experience.

“Tea Room Surprise”
Reviewed November 13, 2013

Who knew? What a lovely experience--a new one for us. Grandma loved the easy half block walk from Hotel St Sulpice, and the informative tea service. Three of us each ordered a different tea, and each came with a different service and setting. Lovely! A special experience on a cold gray day.

“Rare tea ceremony”
Reviewed August 8, 2013

This tea house will host an elegant tea service to demonstrate its fine teas. My family sampled four different teas as well as four foods from their small menu. They sell teas, tea sets, and other Chinese artifacts. A beautiful establishment.

“Wonderful Tea”
Reviewed July 27, 2013

This is such an eccentric place, a vast variety of teas, limited but delicious snacks, large selection of tea pots and cups for purchase, very calm setting. The owners are lovely people and take the time to explain the tea's and the ceremonial pouring. I love taking a break to sit in a clam and tranquil setting just and enjoying this shop.
