You can't miss it because of its beautiful silver dome that looks out over the waterfront.
The best thing about this higher end mall is the clean bathrooms (hard to come by in this area). It is filled mostly with jewelry and clothing stores. There is a little cafe at one end. There is one shop (toward the middle) that is more like a souvenir shop.
I saw more people window shopping than actually shopping here.

Love this market. The history of the market makes it fun to imagine people shopping here hundreds of years ago and what they would have been buying. Today, the shops are full of quality merchandise from the area. Great for simply window shopping. A great place to take visitors.

You can see this beautiful silver dome while strolling Old Montreal. Not the best shopping (although I liked the shop that incorporated CBC and the Canadian Airforce vintage logos) and was just more of the same old shopping. It would have been great kept as a farmers' market.

Too bad they didn't keep it open as a real farmers market. It would have become a major part of the revival of Vieux Montreal as a great place to live and hang out.. So now it is just another interesting place for tourists to take pictures.

The building appears to be grander than the Supreme Court of my country! Stroll the east of old Montreal, and you will see this building. Shops within sell all sorts of arts and crafts and clothing, perfect for souvenir shopping if you have a more generous budget.
