I visited canada for office work for a month and got long weekend :) so visited La Ronde... & trust me its worth spending :)

I visited alone (was on business trip) However you actually dont need any extra company here, there are many people shouting/yelling/getting scared like you...so you can enjoy their company too.. they have many rides, my suggestion is to start early, reach on time when the park opens to cover all the rides and other counters.

The most thrilling was Cobra !! you get auto-clicked photographs of your experiences almost at the price of 20 or 15$ (which would not be that worth money i feel)

For some rides you need to wait in Q for more than 30-40 Mins. however few rides allow you as a privileged person (if you are single entry).
I heard there is another amusement park there, but unable to visit that (Toronto) If you going to Canada and have time -do visit this one, you'll be relaxed for next few months :)

I live in Montreal and have often taken visiting grandchildren to La Ronde and occasionally gone there with my wife. As with many other amusement parks in North America, they have always been very accommodating in their food policy, allowing us to bring Kosher food with us, since they offer no kosher food for sale inside the park. There are some Six Flags parks (New Jersey comes to mind) which have Kosher food concessions and there is no need to bring our own.

La Ronde just announced that they will no longer allow Jews or Moslems to bring Kosher or Hallal food into the park, a very disappointing decision since they did not compensate by arranging for the sale of such food inside the park. As a result this is one attraction where we will no longer be able to attend or take our visitors.

Similar to Wonderland but raining the day we went, so no long lineups, we ran from ride to ride. Some new rides this year. All in all, a fun place, food was not overly expensive.

we were 12 people. We spent over $600 for day tickets and parking. it rained for one hour at 4 PM and la ronde closed just about all the big rides till the end of the day (close at 10PM). Anywhere we went speak with Supervisor ( Gaetan) not for a refund the ticket but to give us tickets for future use since all major rides are closed. he refused and he told us to do the other rides (kids rides). What!!!!! He clearly doesn't get it! Half an hour before the close, one ride opened and we were about the only people at the park. Nice rides it was so we decided to do the ride again, the operators of the ride asked us to leave the ride and re-enter again. How dumb is that? there were no one in the park. La Ronde is No good time. only high blood pressure and robotic brainless people. There is so many ways you can have fun with friends for less than 600 dollars. La Ronde is for tourist that will not come back.
Save your money, Go to Disney!

We watch the fireworks from the south shore. But, anywhere within 10 kms of the park you should be able to see them. Check the website for the schedule (most Friday nights in June & July).
