If you have visited many american parks, do not have high expectations upon La Ronde. The park has a few good coasters (Goliath and Vampire are the best, and Monstre is quite good), however the worst problem of this park are the slow operations. Most roller coasters operates with only one train, and most employees take their time between each dispatch. Also, for kids there is the "Pays de Ribambelle", which is a very good kids zone, but out of there, not much for kids under 48" tall. If you have a Six Flags season pass, you are visiting Montreal and you have a free day, then I'd suggest to give it a try (as it's free with any Six Flags S.P.), however peoples who don't and need to pay full price will most likely be disapointed.

Disappointing !

Although there were many people in the park and waiting times where up to 80 Minutes the most rides and coasters were operated slowly and on low capacity !
Park was quite clean, but didn`t look very well maintained.
The Wooden Coaster was closed due to technical maintenance. How can this be if the park season just started 1 month ago ?
Some rides(especially the Cobra Coaster) are in very poor condition.
Proice for food was very high, quality was not good.
The whole park looks like Six Flags likes to make much profit with lowest possible investment.

We always manage to sneak in a theme park, and this trip was no exception. Of course I prepared ahead by buying tickets on line and asking in the forum if I needed fast passes. The consensus was "no", however it turns out the extra investment for those would have been a good idea. Day started out fine and if you don't mind the extra cost, get the preferred parking; it will save you a huge walk!! Park was clean and typical Six Flags. There were a number of nice coasters, but towards the afternoon the lines were crazy; an hour to get on the major rides. Early in the day we often walked on. Food was nothing special (expensive of course) but we all found something to eat. Would definitely buy the fast pass next time to enhance the day...nobody likes waiting!

Many great rides, the vampire is one to try.

The day passes are on the expensive side.

If you can get the gold pass, it will allow you to avoid the lineups.

LaRonde was bought by six flags a while back and since then the park has improved dramatically. They've added so many new rides, the only downside is that ticket prices have gone up steadily over that same time. If your in town for the summer get the season pass. Best way to avoid lines is start at the back of the park then work your way forward Or pay extra and get thos thing that tells you when to go to certain rides but theyre limited in quantity.
