“biodome de Montreal”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 14, 2013

It was well worth visiting, especially for the tropical area. All the areas were interesting and layout/display was good. My slr lens steamed up almost immediately so I couldn't take as many photos as I would have liked, though many smaller cameras didn't seem to have this issue.
The gift shpp had a lot for younger people especially. The cafe was a bit expensive. We had breakfast there. We didn't get to tue larger restaurant for lunch.
It is by a subway station and the fantastically shaped velodrome and is on the edge of a large park.

It's well worth a visit.

“Great fun with the KIDS!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

Second visit since I was a teenager. Sharing it with my children was great! The only disappointment was the pictures everywhere showed orangutans and sloths - of which we saw none, but we did see a lot. With more open enclosures, you have to look harder, but everything was there. And if you didn't see it, there was a night cam where they were sleeping. The penguin display was awesome. The one penguin kept trying to play with my daughter's light up shoe every time it blinked. The cafeteria sandwiches were good and reasonably priced. Our ticket was included with our MBG/Insectarium ticket that we used airmiles to get. My only regret was not bringing my bigger camera lens for closeups!

“A little pricy but good for rainy day”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

I thought that the Biodome was pretty expensive, and felt that there were not a whole lot of animals to see really. But if it's a grey and rainy day, and you're not on too tight a budget, it's not a bad way to pass a few hours

“Okay but won't go back”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 13, 2013

It was a "Must see" according to reviews and people who recommended Montreal but it was really crowded, the kids were not bowled over by it, and there was a 1 hour line to get in. I wish we had gone to the botanical garden instead-the kids were too tired afterward so we went back to the hotel and didn't have enough time to get back there during this visit.

“Perfect trip for all ages”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2013

My fiance was not sure how this place was going to be but afterwards he said it was his most favorite activity of the trip. The 4 different ecosystems are well thought out with awesome animals. The staff was so friendly and educational. Did you know a star fish puts it's stomach on top of it's food to digest it? Great trip of all ages and awesome value for your money. Discount with AAA card.
