We were in Montreal for the first time and on googling discovered St Joseph Oratory for one of the sites to visit. The place is very nice. Excellent workmanship considering the time it was built and the height it is on, nice design. Inside is very quiet. You can even drive all the way to the top as well.

Went a few years ago and was amazed at the art and size of it. Very beautiful part of Montreal where art and religion meet.

Magnificent church, amazing
atmosphere. A beautiful service in French with an amazing youth chorus. Very moving, a large area in the lower level with candles to light for offering. A moving visit you should see

Stunning views of Southern Montreal, from the Impressive site of the Saint Joseph's Oratory---which throughout this Basilica---awesome indications of an architectural
wonder reflects the period. Detail is magnificent. Spirituality is certainly the correct setting., and great care has been demonstrated in maintaining this eloquent establishment.
A " MUST" visit.

I visited here when I was a teen 35 years ago. I always remembered what an enormous place it was. I brought my own teens here this past April and they were equally impressed. You can stay as long or as little as you'd like. We wandered around the different areas, sat in silence in some places and were all just awestruck by so many things. A place like this is not something you experience every day. The only cost is for parking. Definitely recommend a visit.
