It is and old oratory but has a lot of beautiful stained glasses and classical church stuff , but if you are into pictures your will really enjoy it. you can go up early after breakfast and then go around Montreal , or at evening just verify the closing time on internet. it is a most if you come to Montreal

“Surprising”

This church is a pilgrimage site for catholics.

I am an architect and a catholic in a loose sense of the word, my wife is devout.

All I can say is thatI enjoyed the experience and by the way there are some terrific places to eat in the area. Try Duc de Loraine.

“on top of everything else, the view and setting is marvellous”

The oratory is a magnificent building with an interesting history but part of the attraction for sure is the view and the setting atop Mont Royal.

We went there by taxi continuing our visit to Mont Royal. The church is enormous but not worth anyone's time.
