The rooms were spacious, clean, and tastefully decorated. Front desk check-in was pleasant and efficient, and the concierge was very helpful. Maison Boulud was wonderful. The food was excellent, and the service flawless. If you have children, be sure to sit outside by the duck pond if weather permits!

The location and service cannot be beat. They arranged a shampoo and blowout at a salon down the street with 20 minutes notice. The public areas are opulent but comfortable. The rooms are superb and very high tech. Super bathrooms. This is a mid-size top of the line hotel in a superb location. The hotel restaurant, Maison Boulud, is not to be missed. Expensive, but worth it. My mother and I enjoyed the tasting menu with wines.....oh my! No wonder the hotel was recently awarded 5 diamonds...the only in Montreal.

Enjoyed my stay at this Ritz and would say that it is the best hotel in Montreal much better then the Ritz Carlton in Toronto (in Toronto stay at the Trump). The rooms are very well appointed and the design is very nice. The location is excellent. The hotel is small consists of only 120 rooms and has a great restaurant. There is no spa at the hotel.

The newly refurbished Ritz Carlton is a true gem and offers all of the comfort, luxury and elegance that one would expect from this legendary brand. The rooms define good taste and quality from the finishes and furniture, to the bed linens and amenities - it's first class all the way.
Maison Boulud, the hotel's signature restaurant is not to be missed. Absolutely world class while at the same time, unpretentious and relaxed. 10 out of 10.

It's an older hotel that has been constantly refurbished, so it has some character to it. The staff is very friendly. The hotel is very convenient to St. Catherine St. shopping and restaurants. The linens and beds were very comfortable and the room was quiet. The bathroom was big, and the desk was large enough to spread out and do some work.

Thank God for American Express. Ritz-Carlton is running a gift card for points promotion that claimed their Montreal hotel was included in the promotion. Not true said management when we presented the cards at bill paying time. We paid with our Amex card and contacted them on our return home. No problem they said and paid the bill with the points that they exchanged for our gift cards. Thought it very tacky of the Ritz not to have handled it them selves. Oh, nice hotel very hight tech except there was only 1 elevator working. Nice remodeled rooms but very expensive.

The Ritz Carlton Hotel in Montreal where Richard Burton and Elizabeth Taylor got married... for the first time.. evokes romance, offers pampering and the rooms! I want this in my house. A smart room that recognises when you are there. One of my favourite part of the Ritz Carlton has always been the ducks and garden.. beautifully restored. Modern yet classic and elegant. I had lunch there in October and I can still taste the Madeleine and most of whole the molten chocolate...On a rainy day I had breakfast there and the croissants and Eggs Benedict with spinach were soooooo good. For me the most important first impression and last impression of a hotel are the doorman. Great for a romantic getaway in Montreal, brunch, lunch or dinner. Each room has a peice of the Ritz history and art work yet modern. A real Gem in Montreal.. and it helps that Tiffany is in the Ritz as well.!
