If your looking for a reasonable place to stay within walking distance to bell center this is a great spot. My only complaint is the dipstick at the from desk we got there at 8 pm got our room everything was perfect. Until I asked him for a sports bar to go to to get something to eat and to watch hockey gm on tv he sent us down the st block and half around the corner to la cage sports and the food was great once we got it hr wait girl came back with our bill before we were done eating never asked if wanted another be maybe we were cut off she didn't tell us that either but oh we'll just one spot we won't go back to. And yes there was maybe 10 people in the joint half was staff.

We arrived at night and were a little nervous about the location (especially the parking lot next door) and when we saw inside of the elevators we really questioned our decision to stay. When we got to the room though we were very impressed with it: newly renovated and we had a great view. Also, the front desk clerk, Alex was superb: extremely friendly and helpful, speaks English and French flawlessly. In the morning we realized the location is very close to shopping and about 3 blocks to the metro. We would stay here again.

Room Tip: Not sure if all of the rooms are renovated, so maybe ask to ensure that you get one.

I was skeptical about staying here after reading Trip Advisor, and even when walking into the plain, out dated lobby. However the staff was very friendly and when I walked into my room- WOW! brand new furniture, new carpet, comfortable bed, beautiful bedding, bamboo tile in the bathroom, everything was gorgeous! Had a balcony that overlooked Crescent St, which was great for people watching. Great location, Starbucks right up the road, shopping on St Catherines, everything was close by.

The breakfast was pretty standard, grab and go kinda thing, and I didnt like the unprofessional signs around the lobby and breakfast area, indicating they were under renovation and that you needed a ticket for breakfast (which i thought should have been explained at check in). Staff was very good about dealing with one noise disturbance on my floor at 330am, and helping us store our bags for the day of check out. All in all, I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: ask for a room facing St Catherines for a great view.

I stayed here on the bases from booking.com as I was seeing the who at the centre bell last month and was told it was a 5 minute walk away from the arena. It was my first to Canada so I booked it. Once myself and my father arrived we quickly noticed we were a 20 minute walk away. That didn't really bother us as we walk a lot of the time. The staff were helpful in trying to make our trip a friendly one, the ladies in the lobby told us there were two Quality inn hotels in downtown and bookings.com put us into the wrong one. If we wanted to change we could of free of charge but we both said we were happy with the hotel. The room was always clean and smelled lovely, there was WIFI free in the hotel and even in the room. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Montreal. Plus the concert was amazing!

Very very dirty, hair all over the pillow case.. That was so gross, and they had taken the furniture out of the room so no where to sit.Would never stay there again or tell anyone else to.The hotel it's self is old and in need of so much TLC .., the rooms are nothing the pictures, just is so disappointing when you book on line, expect to get a nice room and then you walk in to bump :(

We recently spent a long weekend in Montreal, and stayed at the Quality Inn Downtown.
Our room was newly renovated, including the balcony. The king bed was the most comfortable we had ever slept in ! A more than generous Continental Style Breakfast is included in your booking, and many mornings one of us would go to the dining room...make our choices and bring it back up to the room on a tray. Daily maid service was a plus, as was the friendly staff !
A very enjoyable weekend, at a great price...and we will definitely book again at the Quality Inn Downtown Montreal !

We stayed at the Quality Inn for 1 night as it is at walking distance to the Bell Centre in Montreal. The room was small, comfortable, not to expensive and has a balcony. May be handy for smokers. Continental breakfast is included with the room. We will probably be back next time we have an activity at Bell Centre to attend.
