“3D movie in 2D”
Reviewed February 20, 2012

A few of us decided to drive 2 hours to Montreal for an IMAX movie and dinner. We were excited to go see Born To Be Wild in 3D. It was quite disappointing when, as we were in line 15 minutes before the movie, it was announced that due to technical difficulties the movie would be shown in 2D. Our choices were to see it in 2D, or get reimbursed and come back another day. Since we had driven 2 hours to see the movie we really only had one option. It would have been nice to have been offered a discount or a free popcorn or something to make up for the fact that we were not getting what we paid for. The movie theatre itself was clean, spacious, and comfortable. It was my husband's first experience at an IMAX theatre, and he enjoyed it. Parking at the science center was 8$ per hour, 16$ max, so you are pretty much paying 16$ in parking to go see the movie if you park on site. I'm not sure how that compares to other parking in the area.

“3D effect is very nice!”
Reviewed February 3, 2012

I saw several 3D TV, with or without glasses, and imax still the best result i ever seen.

It's always a pleasure to watch a good documentary with imax. We watched Tornado 3D and Born to be wild 3D. Both movies was amazing.

We goes there on morning, not too many person. If you want to park close to imax, it's around 16$ for the parking.

I would recommend to go in couple or with family.

“Don't waste your time and money1”
Reviewed November 5, 2011

I saw "Born to be Wild" and "Tornado Alley." The first was significantly less interesting and educational than the average public TV nature show. It showed what the people did, but did not show much of the animals' emotions, intelligence, etc. The second was interesting, but not unusual or very special. Together they cost about $20 and the parking is $16 for two hours.

Don't let this discourage you from a trip to the Science Center. Five of us 72-year-olds spent an absolutely marvelous hour there with all their interactive exhibits about a year ago. Exciting, interesting, educational and just plain fun. It's hard to imagine any age group that would not have a great time.

“It's a movie theatre... So what the screen is big.”
Reviewed April 16, 2008

You really don't travel to go see a movie....

But if thats what you want to do, I MAX is nothing special, it has a big screen and occasionally some old movies, documentaries, and 3D movies.
More something your teacher would take you on a field trip to see what you learn't in class, but nothing beyond that.

If you want to see movies, go to a movie theater in the area.
