The hustle and bustle of this lively street is amazing! There are so many stores and businesses here drawing all sorts of people. There are many high end stores as well as layman stores. There is everything here! You could spend a couple hours just walking the streets and people watching! Many restaurants and cafes. Must see!

Just returned from a weekend trip to Montreal to explore fun shops, foods and attractions. The weekend we were there, late October before Halloween, Montreal hosted their annual Zombie Parade. It was quite the event to watch as Zombies of all sizes, sex, and ages lurched and lunged down Rue St. Catherine. We laughed at some and screamed in" terror" at others. Rue St. Catherine was filled with people and families enjoying the festive parade. Definitely a fun thing to do in late October!!

Busy street with a lot of people and very safe for shopping and dining. Theater district is nearby. Some construction will require walking around cones and barriers.

The long main stretch along St. Catherine Street is the major shopping area of downtown Montreal. Most well-known shopping chains line this street, along with local specialized establishments. The core department stores are at The Bay and the Eaton Centre. For dining you'll find plenty of choices for any budget, including plenty of international cuisine restaurants.

This is a street to shop and eat, Montreal has many many restaurants to check out. One of our morning favourites for breakfast was Alla Mon Coco at 70 Sainte-Catherine Est. The prices are very reasonable cup of coffee $1.50 service is spectacular as well as the food!
